Bluna:Can you afford a 20 to 24hr electricity? Or you think it's going to be free or govt subsidized. Even for Lekki now with 20hrs light people dey switch off their light to conserve spendings. Power sector is already privatized so the he more people can pay the more available it gets. It's like Dangote refinery. Prices have gone up but no more fuel scarcity like during subsidy. |

Bluna:You are quite right The rotteness in power sector is even bigger than petroleum sector. There are cabal too in power sector. The power generation is no more on Federal exclusive list. Now state can generate electricity and distribution. Abia state is already generating power and lagos is already preparing as well. If the regional resource control can be approved, then our development will be rapid and we can hold our governors accountable. Both good roads and electricity are development combo and this government is working on them. We shall get there. |

This is not a coastal highway. We are still seeing only bushes and forest. The large number of akwa cross section of the road is not even on the coastline. You are yet to tell us how many KM has been constructed so far. Only the lagos section is a coastal highway. Others na bushes and forest we dey see. |

Thedon22:I'm a manufacturer. No matter how much I spend on public power, it can never be as much as the huge amount I'm spending on diesel and generators. I run a commercial printing press, using many heavy machines. We use diesel of approximately 12-15k everyday and we work Monday to Saturday. Sometimes over 100k in a week on diesel and engine oil alone. So someone like me will never find it hard to pay over 100k per month for a stable supply. And BTW, power is not yet fully privatized. That's a wrong info. |

Mbanda:Your preferred candidate also promised to do road, Nigeria lack infrastructure to drive our desire economy, most road in Nigeria were built in 1976-1979, no major road or new created road since then. |

Mbanda:What has your state governor even your community heads done to boost security ? Do you have neighbourhood watch ? Security is everybody's business. A time will come in this country when no one will be looking at the face of one president like an hungry child for provision of security, everyone will be on his own. PBAT will make that happen. If you like dont work with law enforcement to secure your communities and keep dwelling on negativities. This country is being restructured bit by bit but people fail to realize. |

Bluna:Am sure if you achieve 24hr power you will find something else to bitch about. Cuz if you can't appreciate this you won't appreciate anything. |

Bluna:Fine, I understand your case and I agree that you need it. But how many of people in their private houses can afford commercial electricity. In Lekki, many houses on Band A now rationalize the use of their ACs unlike before. Some even disconnected their meters because they can afford to recharge. An average 2 bedroom family house on band A under Eko Electric costs around 50k without AC usage. How many people can spend 50k per month on electrify in Nigeria? What's the average minimum wage? So, it's an issue that needs wholistic solution.Govt cannot afford to subsidize electricity to that level. As Nigerians disposable income rises more of us would be able to pay for energy usage. Govt should first focus on creating prosperity for majority. Is it people that can't set up Akara business for themselves that would pay 50k per month for electricity? Rome was not built in a day. We need collective prosperity first. Meanwhile factories can have special priority energy supply lines or areas. |

Adakintroy:Comprehension seems to be your problem. I've already appreciated the project in the comment you quoted. I voted Tinubu in 2023 because of 3 reasons: Electricity, Economy & Restructuring. I've stated this on many occasions in this forum. I didn't vote him because of coastal highway. We all have priorities, highway might be yours, but not mine. Electricity is very important to my business. I prefer stable electricity to coastal highway. Most Nigerians also feel the same way. If you do a poll among Nigerians today to pick between coastal highway and stable electricity, over 70% will pick electricity over highway. |

christistruth01:Less than 70 km built for a road of 800 km ......best to keep your bragging right for pocket for now! You never even jam the 1000 plus 10 creeks and rivers in the Nigerian delta proper..............best option for the spendthrift in Aso rock is to take the Lagos end to warri and join it to east west road and join the Akwa ibom end at Ahoada to the east west road after bypassing port Harcourt ....save what is left of the 12 billion dollars for an east west rail line! |
