What baffles me the most is watching people who are struggling to survive passionately defend the same government under whose policies they continue to suffer. Many of them are uncertain about where their next meal will come from, yet they remain APC's loudest defenders. Those living abroad may have political or personal interests wey dey make them turn Sergio Ramos, but when it comes to those who bear the direct impact of the country's challenges every day, I genuinely struggle to understand what they believe they stand to gain. Omo!!?

i told a story here or somewhere else

i saw two occasions where there was an employee with id card and email who was not a staff of the company in any capacity
they were being paid by an oga who had then arranged with everyone else to give the guy the required access

this happened in my department and unfortunately the guy died in an accident. not a work related accident so it should have ended there. his extended family started talking about insurance etc because he was in an oil company. it is the kind of thing that could have gotten very ugly the kind of thing sowore would jump on, XXXX company refuses to pay benefits of dead employee. in the end the company quietly paid the family off and our hod had to face disciplinary committee

private , company, public

i suspect the guy was some kind of fixer doing some dirty work - which is why he is talking with such brazen confidence
This does not explain how the man's agency got into the 2026 budget of the federal Republic of Nigeria o. In your workplace example, the particular man's name was never on the company's payroll. He was being paid out of pocket by an oga

In this Adeyemi's case, his name is not only on the payroll, he actually got presidential waiver to recruit over 300 staff under him. Are you not seeing the contrast in the two instances?

Are you saying Tinubu is not aware there are shell MDAs and parastatals that exist solely to reward party loyalists, with money flowing up to close associates like Femi and others?

In a letter dated 4 April 2025, Mr Adeyemi, using PFIPC letter-headed paper, wrote to the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), requesting staff to fill five vacancies, including a Principal Accountant, Accountant I, Principal Auditor, Senior Auditor, and Auditor I.

“Kindly note that the office has the requirement(s)/conditions of self-accounting status according to FR1602(2009),” parts of the letter he signed, reads.

In another letter on the same date, Mr Adeyemi wrote to the Accountant General of the Federation, requesting the deployment of Ogaba Harry and Esther Orji from the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser to the President (OCEAP) to the PFIPC.

“We are aware that there is a need to formally deploy (post) them for the purpose of records and documentation,” he said.

It is yet unclear exactly when the deployments were approved. But PREMIUM TIMES can report that at least three civil servants from OAGF were deployed on 28 August, 2025, according to a posting letter published on the OAGF website.

The three civil servants deployed are: Ojo Victor, 55, an Assistant Chief Accountant (ACA) in the accounts department; Omeh Amarachukwu, 40, an internal auditor; and Wakili Saidu, 45, also in the audit department.

In their separate statements, the three civil servants said they printed and took their posting letters to Mr Adeyemi on 1 September 2025. He received the letters and asked them to resume a week later on 8 September 2025.
I like how the mainstream media and the social media are not letting this story die a normal death as the presidency are hoping it would.

So according to Premium Times further digging into this AdeyemiGate x GbajaGate, Adeyemi wrote a letter to office of the Accountant General requesting for deployment of some of their staff in April 2025 to which they obliged.

At least 3 staff were redeployed from the office of the Accountant General to the same agency being labeled fake now.

Make Bayo Onanuga come explain this one away again.

This your story d somehow. How can someone have an official email and he is not a staff of the company?

Every recruitment has to pass through HR. HR is responsible for sending link for new employees to create official email.

Tell me you have never worked in corporate without telling me you have never worked in corporate.

You who are a shill for NNPC, one of the most poorly run corporations in Nigeria should be familiar with executive rule bending. I literally have NNPC contractors on construction projects who a phone call reveals to be proprietors of children's boutiques.

I had a subordinate who had worked in pwc for a year before joining us as an engineer. Every once in a while I would tease him about how PWC gave oceanic bank a clean bill of health before hurricane sanusi huffed and puffed and blew it all open.

And he was forthright that there would be things the team lead or manager would say allow this to slide.

That’s a really convoluted mess. At the minimum there needs to be a congressional panel of inquiry set up to get to the bottom of the matter.
Gbaja probably should step down while someone acts in his place pending the conclusion of the inquiry.
Adeyemi allegedly being a scam artist does not exculpate Gbaja.
Izzou's explanation is the most I have heard of this story. There is no way you are getting allocation from govt and the govt will say they dont know about it.

There are 2 options non which is good. Either its a collusion from govt or the govt is so loose that an agency can open be getting allocation.

the 2nd option now leads to the question that hw many more agency are we funding without knowing what they do

I thought you are referring to private organization. Private organization that's well run with department, unit and all. Official email and not a staff. I have never seen that

I worked in corporate for 15 years and I saw and heard plenty.

CEO knacking managers
CEO knacking Smalley and dashing her big bonus over everyone else
CEO's wife company being given supply and construction contract

One project where a newly hired engineer was dragging with a contractor on pipeline spec, he was called to the CEO office where ceo and vendor were sharing a bottle and asked to pour a cup for vendor

One time we had a newly imported oyibo oga who was pushing for proper standards all the way and going after the sacred cows and untouchables. It ended with the manager who was his attack dog prostating in the office of one of the sacred cows. (they sent a message by buying the lease of the station and giving us eviction notice)

And we were still in one of the better run companies.

After oceanic scattered did we not read of how all memorabilia Etal were supplied by the ibrus companies at inflated costs?

In 2015, after GEJ delayed the election apc had run out of money and needed cash desperately. All I will say is I saw a purchase order signed and issued and valued and verified for a construction company owned by a politician in apc.

In 2012/13 I printed out a presentation written for diezani that spoke to how to repair her image in the public. It was sent to my inbox by an oga to print . In hindsight it may have been an invitation to join geng. I just printed and deleted immediately.

I am just referencing the sideways things that go on that everyone will deny. It is also why e go hard for some people to see prison time. You likely read how gej testified for diezani in court - because who knows how many corpses she buried for him.

Exactly. It also depends on what level of authority you classify as "government" because surely someone in authority knew about it. Whether it is at the level of Gbaja or it is at a lower level, that is what needs to be sussed out.

The country is on life support, and people are stealing and misappropriating funds like we are in 1970s type of oil boom. It is a phucking disgrace.

Constituency project(s) inserted by a NASS member who is a member of oversight committee, if they dont allow for such insertion your budget may not get approved. This is how legislators get to fund their constituency projects by inserting the said projects into National Budget
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Amoto94(m): 8:04pm On Jul 03
The infamous budget padding that made it into our lexicon during late fPMB was an example of projects being inserted by various committee members of NASS
