Nigeria is so underdeveloped.
When i see pictures and videos of what Nigerians call "modern" or "developed" i just laugh.

Why can't cities like Abuja build roads with side walk?
What's wrong with Nigerians? Don't they travel outside and see how cities are planned and built?

Go to Rwanda or even Ivory Coast and call abuja or Lagos modern" again when you come back
All the roads in Abuja have sidewalk and well planned.

This place is very expensive to get an accommodation and office apartment
Nigeria has really changed,an apartment used to be 12m in 2013 and 20m in 2016. Now that same apartment is going for 400m.

I missed some good opportunities then.

Bandits cannot make it into CBD and other central commercial areas.

Outside Kaduna central, Abuja is arguably the most militarized city in Nigeria. Majority of the reported kidnap cases happen in the suburbs and satellite villages.

Worst case scenario, you'll have isolated cases of theft and one-chance robbers, but even those are almost always apprehended by security operatives.

Nigeria has always been an under-developed country nau.

Abuja actually has pedestrian walkways that are entirely covered. It's one of the few places in the country to see such. Elsewhere, open gutters are the best rave in town.

Your last statement isn't entirely true as many have complained about the incessant one chance attacks throughout the city. The perpetrators never get caught. If they are caught, they get released as seen recently where a man was stabbed to death and his iPhone 16 was stolen.

Being militarised has nothing to do with safety. Kaduna is a hotbed for so-called bandits. The NDA was invaded and soldiers were killed. You overrate the Nigerian military.

I don't overrate the nigerian military. Every arm of it is as capable as any other elite military formation of other countries.

Insecurity in Kaduna is mostly politically motivated and largely limited to the outskirt towns. I know this because I still own a residence in the state and have family members resident therein.

Do you know Ungwan Rimi in the state?

They won't even compete with a ghetto in downtown Arizona
They won't even compare to the suburbs of a second-class city in Algeria.

Cut them a slack. It is a 5th World country run on generators. They will brag about anything. Even an overpass is a big deal. Common road construction is greeted with huge fanfare. Perhaps it is the audacity to post this as the busiest business district that's shocking.

He said kaduna central, no kidnapping has ever happened in the main kaduna city. It is mostly outskirts.

As for that NDA own, rumors have it that it’s an insider job.

Name just one A-rated area for me in Nigeria?
Just one.

I bet you, what ever you will name, will not be able to compete with a 3rd class city in North Africa, or the ghetto of a ghetto in Europe.

You see Eko city ba,
That one is what an average ghetto living person in the US will reject as a place less than the ghetto of a ghetto.

The only places in Nigeria that can boldly compete with the world in beauty, are the places that man didn’t build, but partnered with nature to build. Eg. Tinapa Calabar and the mountains of Taraba (lush greenery), the Oasis of Yobe (desert formation), etc.

Notice that those are places that nature built itself?

But all those ghettos that you guys call high class, is really funny

Actually! Eco Atlantic is a very beautiful city, the issue is that it is not completed yet and taking too long. Tinubu as a Lagos boy should use his influence as the president to fast track the development of that place.

As for Abuja, most high posh residential areas are better than that wuse place by far.

Also residential aside, the abuja cbd is a better and more beautiful business district.

The multi-million dollar redevelopment of jabi lake waterfront and recreational park into a premium tourism destination by the present administration will also count as it will be completed this year end or so i heard.

😅😅😅

Eco Atlantic is not a “very beautiful city.”

It is a residential estate, and doing very poor at that. A couple of 30 storied buildings does not make a city. It is a housing estate and surely, corrupt governments, such as these, are the stakeholders, and yet, the people they steal from, will beg them to invest in that same fraud.

But I can tell you: Eko Atlantic housing estate, have not been finished, simply because it is taking a shape that it is never meant to take. Which is “a city shape.”

Nigeria doesn’t need a city yet. At least in the name of a modern city. What do we want to do with a city? 😅😅😅
Imagine giving us New York, or Casablanca. What will we do with it? Put police in it and stop people from accessing one streets or the other?

😅😅😅

Bad urban life styles. Look. This urban system is the cause of heatwave in Europe. Let those who have ears here what the spirit says. Just like foolish Men, they build houses on Sand, instead of building it on rock.
