Caskets displayed in Tehran

Khamenei's flag-draped coffin sat at Tehran's Grand Mosalla alongside family members killed in the Israeli airstrike that came in the first moments of the war on Feb. 28.

The dead being honored include a son-in-law, his eldest daughter, a 14-month-old granddaughter and the wife of Iran's new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the previous leader who remains in hiding after reportedly being wounded in the attack.

Religious leaders and foreign dignitaries walked up to Khamenei’s casket as a military band played or a man sang prayers. Iran's Parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and President Masoud Pezeshkian, key leaders in the country's civilian government, all paid their respects.

Video published by Iranian state media showed an earlier mourning ceremony Thursday night for Khamenei. The black-clad mourners, whom state media identified as coming from families of those who lost loved ones in the 12-day war in 2025 and the recent Iran war, threw scarves and other items for attendants to brush against the coffin, a common practice in Iran seen as a blessing.

Later, state media showed images of Khamenei’s casket draped by a red flag with white calligraphy reading “Ya Hussein,” a Shiite expression in remembrance of the 7th-century martyrdom of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson. It had been flying over the Imam Hussein golden-domed shrine in Karbala, Iraq. The flag also traditionally symbolizes both the spilled blood of someone unjustly killed and a call for vengeance.

Are you dead? No, yet you are obscure.

Iran did not invite European countries to Khamenei’s funeral

By Resul Serdar Atas
Reporting from Tehran, Iran

According to the foreign ministry spokesperson, so far more than 50 delegations have already paid their respects to Iran’s late supreme leader.

So, the prominent figures you’re seeing: the president of Tajikistan; the president of Iraq and also the Iraqi speaker of parliament.

And then you have a delegation from Turkmenistan; the president of Georgia; the prime minister of Pakistan. Pakistan is quite important here because perhaps it was the highest-level attendance from Pakistan.

Then we have Nikol Pashinyan, the prime minister of Armenia; Dmitry Medvedev from Russia; the vice president of Turkiye and many more.

What we are seeing is that those who attended were mostly from either neutral states or friendly states.

And the Iranians are saying they did not extend invitations to European countries or those who have directly, or indirectly, supported the Israeli and American military campaign on Iran.
Responses so empty all it's filled with, are words. Words without substance and basis.

Among those overseeing the arrangements is General Ahmad Vahidi, the recently appointed commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who on Friday made his first public appearance since February 8, sitting beside Khamenei’s coffin.

So they're going to bury this old evil Islamic terrorist like that without his nose?

Israel blew off his nose and they couldn't locate it. Now they want to bury him without that body part. That's evil.

I’ve got a feeling there’s gonna be water shortages over the next couple of days.
Can’t imagine the overdrive the data centers have engaged in in tracking every single person that showed up.

By the way, what son doesn’t attend his father’s funeral?

And someone said Trump is the one scared. Well I trust Netanyahu has updated his list. Now everyone’s location is known.

I noticed that America and Israel didn't want to Target Iranian government executive precisely like the president and vice, including the speaker

It was only the supreme leader and IRGC they were after

Something deep must be happening

I guess it's because the executive leadership was an elected position by the whole country.
Thet has serving terms

Anyway my guess may be wrong
The mullahs and IRGC hold the power and money. The executives are powerless. The IRGC cult is very powerful.

Every bully will eventually learn to respect the ones who stood up to match them strength for strength.

Fyi, Iran and Iraq are two distinct nations, one is mainly Persians & the other Arabs, respectively. They are combat proven Persians with military strengths comparable to the bests on this planet.

They are also highly intelligent, as evidently shown in their technological advancement & their nation’s management, in the midst of thousands of sanctions.
Iran has no military strength, the strength of Iran revolutionary guard strength is reflected in Hezbollah who are fleeing from idf right now.
Building rockets or missiles is not a rocket science, any idiot in possession of Aluminum ,common fertilizer, gunpowder, sugar or any suitable oxidants and metal pipes can build a missiles,so that is not technological advancement, they are not close to the intelligence as the Jews who are on the scale of 1 while Iran is on the scale of 8.
They can't even protect the supreme leader even trump begged bibi to spare his life in operation rising lion🦁

So far, representatives of more than 100 countries have landed in Tehran – IRIB

They claim Iran is isolated.

No, Iran is only isolated from the American-Zionist West.

More than 100+ countries around the world are NOT part of that ill-defined ‘international community’.
They arrive to mock Iran,if the love them they would have advise them to agreed to the deal before the war

I wanted asking the same question, what I've discovered is that religion itself with it laws and precepts (regardless of the religion) are meant to be kept or trampled upon by some class of adherents who belong to the upper echelon of the human society, the downtrodden can only argue but the facts are always there. Honestly, I will never take any religious hot head serious again since the Ts and Cs of almost all religion don't apply the same way to different class of people.

How else do you explain the fact that even in Islam, the strict rules only apply to the brainwashed populace and not to their sheikhs/imams/caliphs who control them? This man is literally being buried many months after his death and probably in a fancy custom-made casket at that, while the average Islamist lives by the delusion that burial must take place within 24 hours of death. grin grin grin
