Buy Naija (Glo) to grow Naija.

You are part of the problem...
Actually, Glo itself is the biggest problem.

How many years of existence yet they have failed to fully cover the entire nation with excellent services.

They keep rolling in mediocrity while mtn continues to make themselves indispensable.

That glo works in your location doesn't mean it does in several others... Should business shut down till Glo steps up its quality of services?!! Or you don't know most businesses can't go a day without solid telecom services?!!

Yeah, it's what's is expected of a corporate organisation.
A business should not suffer the consequence of some hooliganism.

TopBanter:
You guys always drop this inane example of Chelsea FC and Abramovich. Abramovich is a Russian Oligarch Putin brought into billionaire wealth like many others.

Putin declared war against Ukraine NATO and the world felt was wrong and sets a bad precedence because it means strong nations can simply invade weaker ones at will with disregard for international law making the world more gladiotorially dangerous.

Of course the world, minus engaging Russia in outright war which could be catastrophic because of the possibility of nuclear warfare, felt they must move against Putin via sanctions and limiting cash available to him via his billionare Oligarchs.

How is this Chelsea takedown of Abramovich something you should even cite when the examples are so dissimilar? Has Abramovich himself complained anywhere to date?

Russian Oligarchs are gloried capitans of Putin who will fund him with their billions even if he is committing genocide openly because he literally made them billionaires overnight with partisan and nepotistic acquisition of wealth.

How is MTN NIgeria, that has the identity of our nation, connected with xenophobic attacks in SA as Russian Oligarchs remain a threat because of how they can be funding Putin with their assets in the West like Chelsea FC?
Forget long grammar, baba, injury to one is injury to all, likewise injustice sad

I have never used MTN before but at least they're trying to let us know that they're aware of what's happening unlike DStv
But even DSTv is no longer a South African company is the absolute sense of it. The ownership is now international, the title belonging to Canal of France.

Where is the pun?
helinues:
We are not heartless like some of your people. Pun intended

South Africans are already reaping the consequences of their actions. Those local shops are mostly operated by the African migrants. Would you go to a big mall or mart to buy ordinary a salt, milk or Sugar ?

Re: MTN Nigeria: "Don't Punish Us For South Africa's Xenophobia" - Karl Toriola by franvincoop: 12:33pm On Jul 04
Get your facts right, DSTV does not belong to SA

tuoyoojo:
In as much as I do not like what those south Africans are doing to nigerians and other blacks

Going against MTN may not be good for us...how many Nigerian telcom companies compete and provide services comparable to what mtn is providing.
The massive corruption in the country would not let nationalising it to work

We can work against DSTV because those ones have not hidden their exploitative tendencies from the beginning

But for me, leave mtn alone

..they are many Nigerians working in MTN company..many of them will lose their jobs if MTN is shut down... and the MTN subscribers will also lose their subscription and network and find it difficult to operate and browse with their phones

Anyone saying Nigeria should take over MTN and nationalise it or force the sale of the company to a Nigerian should not forget that we have a purely Nigerian company in the Telecoms sector as well. A company that prefers spending money on celebrities than improving its quality of service. That company is Glo. Can we confidently say Glo can be as reliable as MTN?
Glo wey I buy data from via opay on 1st of July wey I never see the data as we speak. God forbid that they should nationalised mtn, e go just end like Etisalat.

Toh! As part of corporate social responsibility, let MTN pay $500m dollars into a compensation fund.

Although all could end up in the pockets of the cabals that set up Investment Promotion Council with office in the Federal Secretariat, which they claim does not exist. shocked shocked

Glo, is that a name of a network?
Since I have been using networks, I have used every other network available except Glo
I use Glo as my second network and honestly Glo isn’t so bad
The problem is network isn’t available in all areas and i believe it is something that can be worked on.

So I do not think we should take vengeance on mtn because it will also affect us but they should also not be surprised at the consequences. It is expected for their wicked acts.

Corruption in Nigeria is worse and witchcrafty...

Your kind who failed to call out leaders for what they are, are the ones enabling them and their corruption - possibly because you are feeding from the crumbs.

No allow me swear for you this morning... 😕

Well, I Blame Britain that joined animals and humans together as one country, else, I wouldn't be reading this your mindlessness this morning undecided
SHUT UP THERE.

Have you tacked your STATE GOVERNOR AND STATE GOVERNMENT about corruption?

Are you aware that the STATES collectively hold more of a share of the national expenditure budget than the FG?

Are you aware that budgetary allocation to them has increased more than six-fold since the removal of fuel subsidy?

WHEN LAST DID YOU QUERY YOUR STATE GOVERNOR AND GOVERNMENT?

ISN'T IT BECAUSE THEY'RE OF YOUR OWN ETHNICITY THAT YOU NEVER QUERY THEM?

ISN'T IT BECAUSE THE FG IS LED BY A MAN OF A DIFFERENT ETHNICITY THAT YOU'RE RELENTLESSLY AND OBSESSIVELY CRITICAL OF IT?
Re: MTN Nigeria: "Don't Punish Us For South Africa's Xenophobia" - Karl Toriola by OALandAgents: 11:32am On Jul 05
Glo is not Nigerian, a few years ago I researched the board of Directors and found out 80% were Swedish, rest were Asians , since I exposed this fact, it has now become impossible to get any information about the board of Glo.

Nigeria does not have any indigenous telecom company. Last time I checked (5years ago) only 9Mobile had any Nigerians (only about 2) on it's board.

If Abacha had not been poisoned, our telecom sector would have been controlled by Nigerians, but it was CIA agent Obasanjo that came and handed the whole sector to foreign companies. MTN is South African but controlled by racist whites. Just like SA government are still under white control, their black president is just a ceremonial figure head that does what the racist whites tell him to do.
We cannot depend on useless enslaved government to nationalize MTN, because that is never happening. The best thing we should do is boycott them and all other SA-owned companies like DSTV, ShopRite, Stanbic bank Etc.
