The guy looks has always given him away as someone who is coming from obscurity and poverty, umahi just handed over a whole state to his most loyal servant who will cover all his corruption tracks in office and also do all his biddings not because nwifuru is the most educated and most qualified in ebonyi for the job this is the main reasons why we hardly hear about any major significant thing that's happening in ebonyi since umahi left office over 3yrs ago.

Umahi is probably still the governor of Ebonyi. The former bricklayer is only fronting for him. The Sharing Formula for State Allocation and Internally Generated Revenue has been agreed on. Present Governors should learn from Umahi. They should pick former Akara sellers, Corn roasters and Kulikuli hawkers as their successors.

How did he go from being a Bricklayer to becoming a Governor? The story goes that Nwifuru became a loyal aid to an up and coming businessman and aspiring politician called Dave Umahi

Dave Umahi would go on to become deputy Governor and Governor, and took Nwifuru along. Nwifuru became Dave Umahi's annointed political son and handed over to him when his tenure ended

Nwifuru is now Governor of Ebonyi State while Dave Umahi is Minister of works.
