Hohenheim:
That tweet pisses me off seeing it now, after acting like the Supergirl script is as wonderful as the source material.
I already knew that girl will try to infuse some of the little girlpower moment in her head into the story but moving far away from the source material to write this was a disaster waiting to happen.

The DCU foundation is not solid enough for all this silly experiment. James Gunn should stick to a more defined plan which will involve production of carefully selected project which will establish and solidify the universe foundation then they can start doing their little experiment.

Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by SMUAG(m): 10:10am On Jun 28
This was how they push the agenda of "majority loved Superman 2025" to deceived the less smart ones into thinking James Gunn's DCU was a hit grin cheesy grin cheesy
Many jobless Gunn babies did the same. Going to theatre to see a lackluster movie like Justice gang for 20 to 30times just to proof Gunn universe was doing great, while the opposite was actually the real deal..
Now, that Supergirl was not actually directed by their daddy they don't find it worthy or interesting to go see it 20times at least grin cheesy I thought you guys claimed to be DC fans, and not Gunn babies na..

Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by SMUAG(m): 10:22am On Jun 28
Very strong start, just keep it up grin cheesy
Where are the "majority loves DCU" geng now cheesy cheesy Is time to show support to a very strong start
The way this numbers dey go so, sure say we no go discover crude oil by the time him finish him theatre run...

They will never learn

Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by SMUAG(m): 10:29am On Jun 28
Hohenheim make we dey drop am for evidence so tomorrow you and your guys no go come begin spread lies to cover up James Gunn disastrous universe grin cheesy wink Cause we see how una won systematically cover Justice gang failure grin

Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by SMUAG(m): 9:43am On Jun 29
SNYDERVERSE first two failed movies:
MOS
RT: 55%
BO: $670M
BVS (the butchered one)
RT: 27%
BO: $874M

TOTAL: $1.54B

GUNNVERSE the most successful first three movies:
SS
RT: 90%
BO: $168M
SM (aka Justice gang)
RT: 83%
BO: $619M
SG
RT 56%
BO: $68M (at most $220m)

TOTAL: $1.007B grin cheesy grin cheesy

But James Gunn is the greatest thing to ever happen to the DC grin
All the Gunn babies are observing table manners now, you don't talk while eating grin cheesy

They're already cooking another one! Recipe for disaster grin cheesy
Watch how Gunn babies will fall for it easily..
The chances of Man of Tomorrow being a bad or at best okay movie are very high as to it being an "epic" one.
You know why or the reason I go for the former? Is simply; Man of Tomorrow was never the plan, but because Justice gang failed to bring the actual expected numbers and also James Gunn trying to secure his job if the acquiring of WB by Paramount went through, so he hurriedly fast track Man of Tomorrow, believing he can secure his job and also make amend for the lackluster Justice gang he served the public grin cheesy
DC has become James Gunn playing ground cheesy
Abeg when production go start for Jimmy Olsen and Gorilla Grodd cheesy cheesy cheesy I can't wait oh!

Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by Minemrys(op): 3:04pm On Jun 30
I can't believe WB had Christopher Nolan doing Batman, to then losing him.
Come to think of it, the Supergirl film (the storyline that is) is something Nolan would have done real well. I genuinely love the central idea, but the execution, not really.

Looking at the DCU, I wouldn't entirely blame James Gunn but David Zaslav and WB. WB has been the real enemy of the DC franchise. I mean, what's so difficult hiring good writers, producers, directors and even award winning score composers to attach to various DC IPs? Well, the answer rests on Capitalism and politics.

But, but but Supergirl was not directed by James Gunn so you can't blame him for the embarrassment grin cheesy grin cheesy
Gunn babies and moving the goalposts are like kuli kuli and akara grin grin

A new bombshell report from The Hollywood Reporter reveals that DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran clashed with director Craig Gillespie over the final cut of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
According to insiders, the film struggled to find its footing in post-production after wrapping in May 2025, with early test screenings pulling scores trapped in the 60s.
The creative friction grew to the point where the studio forced a "bakeoff"—testing two competing versions of the movie against each other. Gillespie’s cut was reportedly 11 minutes longer and featured a heavier emphasis on the villain, Krem (Matthias Schoenaerts), while the studio’s cut featured alternative music choices and scenes rewritten by Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight) for a 9-day reshoot.
Ultimately, the studio’s cut edged out the director’s version by a razor-thin two points in test screenings, becoming the version sent to theaters. While some sources describe the tension as "healthy creative friction," others state the two sides were simply "not creatively aligned." With the film opening to a rocky $37.1 million weekend and mixed reviews, the debate over who is to blame for the final product is just heating up - FilmWire

Of course, we know whose cut grin cheesy
James Gunn babies, please show us one Gunn's hit outside MCU, we're waiting..

I just hope Supergirl box office number tops that historical flop of a movie called Suicide Squad. Cause, we're seeing a blame pattern, where Gunn babies will completely denied Gunn's heavily interference in Supergirl movie and him being the main cause why Supergirl tanked badly grin cheesy

From what I have read, it seems neither cut would have done well either. What you get when you rush things through and don't listen to what the audience want.

Superhero movies are dying slowly and right now, only nostalgia and having a great story that relates with existing trends seem to working for it, hence why Marvel chickened out of Kang Dynasty to bringing back Robert Downey.

Again, shows Warner Bros are the ones shooting themselves in the foot.

Superhero genre has outlived it's usefulness and is now at a completion.

I agree on the bolded statement, but that alone shows Gunn was never that great nor that smart as a director...
A smart one will push out the director's cut if he was smart enough to know neither cuts will make the movie better - probably he thought the leaks will not get out there that he interfered and his cut happened to be the one officially released.
The genre is slowly dying and director like James Gunn is fasten it with the types of garbage movies he loves putting out. What Gunn is doing is no different from what the general audience is running away from - too much generic movies...

What excuse will James Gunn babies give us now that Superflop is going to digital just like her cousin did grin cheesy
