160k for protein for just four weeks, Abeg u guys should take it easy with this lies and unnecessary hype, elder has three kids and they don’t consume up to 500k monthly, and believe me, they dine like Royalty, they have a freezer that contains all sort. Of protein u will need, kitchen stuffed with food stuff because they Dey do bulk purchase, make their own bread and drink only fresh blended juice

I spend 75k fueling generator monthly, 100k to recharge prepaid, 30k for gas and that's 205k already, feeding along takes over 300k monthly so yeah it's very possible. I didn't even mention LAWMA and Car expenses or even internet bills. So spending 440k for a family of 3 in today's Nigeria is modest.

3 kids 450k bro URS is even better. But it is the real truth. These kids go to school every day with fruits and other consumables. Fruits like apples are stupendously expensive now, this estimate is good ohh dnt mind those who don't know what it means to take care of family

If you have the money it can even be higher than that, cut your coat according to your size. Some are higher than that while some are lower than that so no qualms

generator alone is at least 5k per day
car fueling same if you work 10km or more from your house
no matter what something in the house will break down - generator, sink, door door, gate washing machine - that is another 10 to 20k or more
cway dispenser water is like 1,800, cascade is 1400 - at least three bottles a week
if you dont have running water - that is another 10 to 15k per week
school feeding is now 1200 to 2500 per day
data from isp is 20k or more
groceries
toiletries and cleaning stuff

that 450k will finish easily.

best you can do is draw up your expenses and identify what you can scale down or cut out

i personally tend to do bulk buying when i can so i can't keep proper track of stuff like toothpaste, detergent, liquid soap, bathing soap , rice, noodles garri etal

my son is in a private uni and his feeding expenses were 35k a week as the bare minimum. add stuff like some academic materials, using the swimming pool , tutorials and it was likely 50 to 60k per week

God help me, please don't forget my destiny, and I'm here on 25k/month budget.

In my household we consume at least 20kg of beef monthly , 6 crates of eggs (the wife likes to bake ,,and the kids get to have at least an egg a day for breakfast).

Then factor milk and beverages.

The rule of thumb to conservation of funds are

Buy in bulk
Buy only necessary items
Avoid overspending. If suya dey hungry you, buy meat and grill machine. If fries or chicken dey hungry you, buy chicken parts and Irish potato.

Avoid junk foods. Eat healthy home cooked food. Add vegetables to your diet.

Buy fruits at farmer's shop or local markets.

If you no sabi do an, watch YouTube videos.

Cut your coat according to cloth length.

Avoid greed.

Drink lots of water.

But then you are married

What about your wife that eats more and you're growing child that needs lots of protein

Unless you want to make your family sofa you actually need half a million naira now to live a modest life indoor cities I mentioned

I only use solar to charge phone, laptop, TV and one fridge. I only spend ₦15000 on fuel monthly, because of water pump.

If someone is staying in the rural parts, spending for food is strange, because there are lands to farm, if available.

Even half a million is not enough sef in big cities. It's getting expensive by the day.

How and what do you mean, are you living in Kigali and just coming back to this country to say this. Although some people like you who are APC members who live in constant denial can spend between 12 to 18k a month with same family size, feeding on only corn, akara and kuli kuli.

His feeding expense is moderate because some people spend way above this, depending on your way of life.

My house is a six bedroom duplex with 6 ACs, another 2hp AC serving the dinning and a standing 3 ton AC in the sitting room,getting solar means I have to spend upward of 7m to get at least 8kva system.

My generator is 7kva.

If u want an more concise spending for family of three, do this to cut cost

1. Don't register kids in school till they are 4 years old. (Cut waste). They learn nothing from 1-3years old that they can't learn from 4 years old nd above.

2. Get connected to raw food suppliers in the north of do ur order from.there including baskets of tomatoes.

3. Dnt combine electric cooking an gas cooking .this will help control NEPA bill, instead combine gas and charcoal stove.

4. Live in cheap good houses..DNT should off with someone elses

But why some of una go dey use una poverty dey judge another guy life style. Some single guys spend more than that monthly on things that doesn't even matter...
