I need advice please, I just converted my Toyota Picnic to CNG, now am finding it difficulty to start the car in the morning, different mechanic has done different things yet no solution, I have gone to the CNG people and they said the CNG option can not affect the car starting,. I don't want to remove the CNG yet because it has reduced my weekly fuel cost . I don't know if any one here had a similar experience?

It's in the key starter or the ignition.. tell them to put something called a quick start.. I can't remember the name but I can link you to the mechanic |

Gotocourt:Na lie, no be all those things... It has to do with the CNG setup. CNG nozzle, pressure and the gas combustion. |

If I may ask before the CNG conversation does it start normally? Was is after the conversation the problem started? |
| Re: Hard Starting In The Morning by joromii: 9:14am On Jul 09 |
do you experience that before converting to CNG, did it happen immediately after converting to CNG, is your check engine light on? scan the car, it might be a sensor, check your Crankshaft Position Sensor, Camshaft Position Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Fuel Pressure/Rail Sensors, scanning will give you a better result, you don't need a sophisticated scanner, those TEMU 25,000 OBDII scanner can also do the job |

Try starting it on fuel first, if it continues even with that, then rule out CNG calibration defects. Get a mechanic to clean up your cam shaft sensor |

The problem is YOU. Why will you covert your car to cng without even having knowledge how the cng works. Don’t start with cng in morning only petrol before switching back to cng. You are going to wear your car engine soon if care not taking. |

If it happens only in the morning, then I suspect 'cold start sensor' I guess they tinkered with it the day they were fixing your CNG. You don't need to buy a new one , let them fix that one well |

laughter25:Start your car with petrol first before switching over to CNG, if situation persist, get a good scanner and scan to find the error code |
| Re: Hard Starting In The Morning by Pootle: 10:04am On Jul 09 |

laughter25:Your CNG needs to start with petrol first. Go to a mechanic workshop that knows what they are doing. Leave all these "Kazeems" mechanics. |

Always make sure you have enough fuel in the morning to start the car.... It is better to start with fuel before switching over to CNG, that's how I run my Spider |

Prime the pump before you start in the morning by turning the keys to ACC twice before starting. this will let you know if you are losing fuel pressure overnight. If that fixed it and the had worked around the injector rails you may have a fuel leak that might turn into a fire one day |
