bidexiii:which funding exactly, budget they keep allocating yet they don't release 2024 and 2025 budget how much do you think was released to the military, the army didn't get up to 20%, this is beginning to affect Wingloong 2 operations because we lack spares and running low on missile stocks china is refusing to supply because of previous debt. You keep saying they service chiefs are the worse mention to me what they aren't doing, or should they be in front line every now and then, haven't we grown past that stage, Keep blaming service chiefs |

People need to start losing their jobs or charged for their actions and inactions(security agents and politicians).Tens of thousands of security agents are mobilized every 4 Year period in Nigeria for elections, why can't the same thing happen to rescue people in captivity? This is really embarrassing. |

Toju200:20% of totall budget or just 20% of totall money meant for defence ? Go get your facts rights, I agree that our military/defence dont get proper funding amidst the corruption by politicians and top-brass but its way better than years back, yet past security Chiefs performed way better than what we've got now. |

They threatened to kill the Hostages if force is used, I believe you've come across several case study 2024 UK SBS raid in sokoto amongst others. We tried negotiations for the safe release but it stalled. Now two weeks ago ONSA is coordinating kinetic means of rescuing them I have video of them in the forest I can share personally with you |

bidexiii:NAF ADVANCES OPERATIONAL COMPETENCE THROUGH SPECIALISED WARFARE AND TARGETING TRAINING The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Warfare and Doctrine Centre (AWDC), has advanced its drive towards a more capable and mission-ready force with the graduation of participants from two specialised operational competence courses. The training, which concluded on 3 July 2026, strengthened participants' expertise in force sustainment, operational planning and precision targeting, reinforcing the NAF's commitment to developing highly skilled personnel capable of responding effectively to contemporary security challenges. By enhancing targeting proficiency and collateral damage estimation, the training further equips personnel to deliver purposeful and decisive air power against terrorist and criminal elements while safeguarding civilian lives and property. Representing the Chief of Logistics, Headquarters NAF, at the graduation ceremony, the Director of the Nigerian Air Force Museum and Hall of Fame, Air Vice Marshal U Ariahu, congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the courses and urged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to improve operational effectiveness across their respective units. He emphasised that continuous professional development remains indispensable to sustaining the Nigerian Air Force's operational readiness and mission success in support of national security objectives. The Commandant of the Air Warfare and Doctrine Centre, Air Vice Marshal GI Jibia, represented by the Director of Coordination, Air Commodore I Suleiman, noted that the courses reflect the Nigerian Air Force's unwavering commitment to developing a highly professional and mission-focused force. This aligns with the vision of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, who has consistently emphasised that "mission success begins with a highly trained and mission-ready force." The graduation therefore underscores the Nigerian Air Force's sustained investment in building the operational competence required to deliver precise, responsible and decisive air power in defence of Nigeria and its people. #NigerianAirForce #NAF #AirPower #OperationalCompetence #MissionReadiness #PrecisionTargeting #ForceDevelopment #ProfessionalMilitaryEducation #CivilianHarmMitigation #NationalSecurity #AirMarshalSundayKelvinAneke

bidexiii:it's not excuses. I'm saying things as it is. You still haven't mentioned what the chiefs aren't doing or are doing wrong compared to former service chiefs. NAF has sustained intelligence driven airstrikes infact this CAS has more record of precision driven strikes and he keeps building on that capability majorly in terms of training. The Army Aviation and UAV has been very active in recent times since beginning of the year. The COAS has been pushing for funds to improve early warning systems in the NE to be able to thwart ISWAP attacks and there was been improvement as regards that. So tell me exactly what they aren't doing correctly. If you're blaming the chiefs blame the troops as well. |

Toju200:N̈AF as sustained in your own words intelligence and precision strikes, Yeah that's why its the air arm but it's not enough. They can perform better than this, so as the other sister security agencies; especially NPF, NA etc.. Its a shame than NA/NPF can't perform a rescue mission for those kidnapped victims in Oyo State, there excuses as always being; "High risk of loosing the hostages". After how many years of fighting terrorism/banditry and kidnapping onee would think that we should have outgrown this stage and beheading of the challenges we are facing. The NA is struggling to sustain a "Tier-1/2 dedicated SF", When the NN SBS is doing with ease. Stop celebrating mediocrity! |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Toju200(m): 2:28pm On Jul 06 |
bidexiii:you keep saying they can't rescue Oyo victims yet both NA and NPF has conducted numerous rescue operations even more than SBS. I still made mention of how they rescued Borno kids utilizing Air and ground coordination. So because they haven't rescued the Oyo victims the army is now incompetent is that it? You want NAF to do better how more can they do when they're lacking funds to sustain is missile stocks, 2. Why do you think till date we haven't received the M346FA NO MONEY!!! The current CAS has performed better than previous chiefs except in my opinion CAS Amao |

Toju200:A year-by-year breakdown also showed a steady increase in appropriations throughout the review period. The Army received N463.4bn in 2020, rising by 10.2 per cent to N510.6bn in 2021. Funding increased further to N580.8bn in 2022 before climbing to N665.1bn in 2023. The upward trajectory continued in 2024 when the allocation rose to N789.8bn, an 18.8 per cent increase from the previous year. The biggest increase came in 2025 as the Army’s budget almost doubled to N1.48tn which is an increase of 88.1 per cent increase over 2024. Consul General Rick Swart attended the graduation ceremony of the Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET), a five-week program that brought together U.S. Army Special Forces and Nigerian Navy’s Special Boat Service. Programs like JCET do more than build tactical skills. They forge trust, deepen interoperability, and ensure that our elite forces can respond effectively to evolving threats from countering maritime crime in the Gulf of Guinea to addressing banditry and violent extremism. The U.S.-Nigeria security partnership spans decades and we are proud of both teams for their dedication and professionalism throughout the training.

OPERATION HADIN KAI RECORDS MULTIPLE OPERATIONAL GAINS, RESCUES ABDUCTEES, CONTAIN ISWAP ATTACK ON FOB LOGOMANI AND DISRUPTS TERRORIST LOGISTICS NETWORKS The Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has continued to sustain its operational momentum across the North East Theatre, recording another series of significant successes through relentless Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, intelligence-led missions and coordinated security efforts aimed at denying terrorist groups freedom of action. On 7 July 2026, troops of 115 Task Force Battalion, while conducting ongoing Search and Rescue operations in Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, successfully rescued two additional abductees from a terrorist hideout. During the operation, troops recovered cash of One Million Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N1,200,000.00) suspected to be proceeds of criminal activities, food items and other logistics believed to have supported terrorist operations. The rescued victims have since been evacuated to a secure location where they are receiving appropriate medical care and psychosocial support. During the same period, troops of Operation HADIN KAI deployed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Logomani in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State under Sector One successfully contained a coordinated attack by ISWAP terrorists. Although the insurgents briefly exploited a section of the base’s defensive perimeter during the intense firefight, the troops rapidly regrouped, mounted a determined counter-offensive and decisively expelled the attackers, inflicting significant casualties and forcing the surviving terrorists to flee with varying degrees of gunshot wounds. Regrettably, one gallant soldier paid the supreme price, while two gun trucks and some combat enablers sustained damage during the engagement. The situation at FOB Logomani remains firmly under the control of Operation HADIN KAI troops, with reinforcements deployed, exploitation operations ongoing and additional measures being implemented to further strengthen the defensive resilience of the location. In another operational success, troops of 232 Battalion, acting on credible intelligence, apprehended a notorious criminal in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Follow-up exploitation of the arrest led to the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, two magazines and twenty-eight rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition. The suspect and recovered items are currently in military custody, while further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend other members of the criminal network. Similarly, troops of 149 Battalion arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State. The recovered items include cash sums, a Volkswagen Golf vehicle, construction materials, household items and other supplies suspected to have been destined for terrorist elements. The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation, while the recovered items remain in military custody as investigations continue. As part of ongoing offensive operations, troops of 24 Task Force Brigade, in conjunction with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, conducted a clearance operation on known terrorist enclaves around Wulgo. During the operation, troops exploited the terrorists’ hasty withdrawal and recovered a sack containing assorted illicit drugs abandoned by the fleeing insurgents. The recovery further underscores the sustained pressure being mounted on terrorist elements, denying them freedom of movement and disrupting their operational capabilities. Additionally, six suspected ISWAP terrorist alongside their families surrendered to troops of 192 Battalion (Main) Sector 1 OPHK. Preliminary investigation revealed that the family escaped from Guduf Bubayagwa and Chikide terrorist enclaves on the Mandara mountains in Gwoza LGA. Items recovered from the terrorist and their families includes cumulative sum of One Million Five Hundred and Forty One Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N1,541,500.00), two tecno mobile phones amongst other items. Relatedly, Troops apprehend suspected BHT/ISWAP logistics supplier in Molai checkpoint in possession of large quantities of medical supplies without due clearance. Suspect and the items are in custody for further interrogation. In Sector 2 Area of Responsibility, Troops of 233 Tank Battalion in conjunction with Hunters intercepted and arrested a suspected BHT/ISWAP terrorist logistics supplier from Ngirya village of Tarmuwa LGA with five motorcycle tires. The suspect and items are in military custody for investigation. These latest operational gains underscore the effectiveness of sustained offensive operations, actionable intelligence and the seamless collaboration among security agencies and auxiliary forces in dismantling terrorist logistics networks, disrupting criminal activities and protecting vulnerable communities across the North East. Headquarters Operation HADIN KAI assures the public that ongoing Search and Rescue operations will continue with unwavering resolve until every abducted person is accounted for and safely reunited with their families. The Theatre Command also issues a stern warning to individuals involved in supplying food, fuel, construction materials, transportation or any other form of logistics to terrorist groups to immediately desist. Anyone found aiding, abetting or collaborating with terrorist elements, directly or indirectly, will be identified, apprehended and prosecuted in accordance with the law. MOHAMMED GONI Captain Acting Military Information Officer Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI MAIDUGURI 8 July, 2026
