How Would You Justify The Following Extravagant Spendings Under Tinubu's Government: 1. 21 Billion Naira To Renovate The Vice President House. No like they bought new kidneys or anything...for a house already functional. Done with public funds. 2. 70 Billion Naira To The National Assembly Members To Buy SUVs At The Cost 160 Million Naira Per One For Senators And House Of Representatives Members Specifically. To buy silence is every expensive. 3. 4 Billion Naira To Renovate Dodan Barrack Lagos Another 3 Billion Naira To Renovate Aguda House 4. 5 Billion Naira Was Given To Presidential Tax Reforms Committee Of Less Than Twenty People Headed By Taiwo Oyedele With Nothing To Show For It 6. 1.5 Billion Naira To Purchase Cars For Your Wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu Despite The Fact That First Lady Office Is Not Recognised By Our Constitution. Public funds they will later come around and claim they donated. 7. 300% Salary Increase For The Judges Which Was Speedily Passed By The Insensitive And Irresponsible Senators. The law has been bought. 8. 5 Billion Naira Was Budgeted For Presidential Fleet Of Cars For President Bola Ahmad Tinubu. I mean for someone who already has over 40 cars following him already. 9. 5 Billion equally budgeted for Presidential Yatch. The commonwealth is now a personal wealth. 10. 225 Billion naira spent on so-called Presidential Jet Festus Keyamo compensated. 11. 90 Billion naira spent on 2024 Hajj pilgrimage . Religion is a personal business. This is extravagant and irrelevant. 12. Billions of Naira Was Budgeted For Trips Including The Vice President Kashim Shettima To The Detriment Of The Citizens 13. Every Senator Is Paid 21 Million Naira Monthly 14. House Of Representatives Are Earning 13.5 Million Monthly All The Increment Was Done By Tinubu's Government 15. 15 Trillion Naira Lagos Calabar Coastal Road Was Awarded Illegally To Tinubu's Friend A Lebanese Gilbert Chagoury Who Was Repatriated Back To His Country By The Former President Obasanjo. I mean "awarded." No bids. 16. Billions lavished to lobbyist to romance against the Christian genocide. 17. How about the crazy number of ministers doing nothing? 18. N36Billion used shamelessly to Repaint the International Conference Centre... Nigeria is a rich country. But ruled by the worst. Argue with yourself. |

If you must leave the Govt job, do voluntary retirement instead, so that you will be entitled to be paid gratuity. |

Federal or state? You can still manage your private business together with your government work unless you have too much money or you are relocating. |

Nice2023:Not everyone that works in a bank is a banker, just like not everyone that works in a school is a teacher. You were certainly not a banker if after leaving a bank it took you ten years to rise to salary level 12 in the civil service. Anyhow, good luck to you in your new journey. |

You know yourself more than anybody on the forum; Make sure; 1. That you have business working for you before existing the system 2. That you have cash reserved to be afloat, while the business take-off 3. You have a wife earning a stable salary that you can depend on while the business grows 4. You have a reasonable cash in you RSA account just in case 5. A good health insurance plan what you may lose 1. Level 13 officer is 4 step away from director and can become a Permanent Secretary with age on your side and earn big pension for life 2. Government job has security and salary/allowance that is reviewed base on change in economic condition 3. Pension for the rest of your life even when you are on a wheel chair 4. Reasonable health benefits too Take a calculated risk is all i have to say |

Gavel:Pls which one is voluntary retirement and straight resignation? To those of you antagonizing his decision, una weldone oo! You think it's everyone that have the patience of romanticizing poverty, maybe he works in a ministry that pays level 12 officer 200k monthly as usual. Op I wish you the best,God bless all your plans |

Blackman101:...and you forgot to tell him the most important part why most Nigerians remain in government job; opportunity to loot as you advance in level. He is about to miss the opportunity to become an overnight billionaire through stealing of government funds once he becomes a Director or Permanent Secretary, what a wasted lifetime opportunity to loot like every other Nigerian civil servants that helped mess Nigeria up the way it is today |

Nice2023:I have been at a crossroads for the last 2 years if I should resign or not....... But this your post has given me the morale to do so. I am also in sake level as you and due to write promotion exams later this year. But I've always wanted to do something on my own...... Fear of the unknown has kept me trapped. |
| Re: I Am Finally Resigning From My Government Work After Ten Years by Blackman101: 2:29pm On Jul 06 |
franchasng:if the aim is to loot then let him resign now, the civil service by design if you don't leave a stupid life style (chain of women, vehicles, drinking, man of the people) you will have a good life without looting. As the system gives you opportunities through allowance for travelling etc I know people that have retired with about two houses, put their children through school, put their children into the system and are leaving the best part of their life on reasonable pension. |

Blackman101:Name one Nigerian civil servant that is a Director or Permanent Secretary that is not stealing and I will show you a duplex built on air without a foundation ![]() Nigerian civil servants are the highest corrupt set of people in Nigeria....they are the ones that help government officials and elected executives to steal and loot all the monies that have been looted in Nigeria. I doubt any Nigerian civil servant that occupied a Director or Permanent Secretary position will ever make heaven. Most of them are mobile Babalawo....Dibia....Arusi....Juju....witches and wizards....maybe the op is resigning because he knows he cannot withstand the level of voodoo and juju being used by his colleagues in office, his resignation self fit be another level of juju spell that will later clear from his eyes ![]() |
