The father of Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi, who is facing criminal charges over alleged forgery and impersonation, was reportedly arrested by police operatives on Monday in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Residents told journalists that the arrest took place at the family’s residence, where officers reportedly arrived in several vehicles before taking Adeniyi’s father and another man said to have been visiting the home into custody.

Witnesses said the operation drew the attention of residents and caused anxiety within the household, particularly for the suspect’s elderly mother.

A resident, who requested anonymity, alleged that the officers quickly secured the premises and left with the two men, while a security presence remained in the area for some time after the operation.

This is the criminal lawlessness of Nigerian security agencies for you. Why are they arresting the father? The presidents chief of staff remains an accused in this matter. He hasn't respected himself nor the president he claims to serve, not the dignity of the office he brings into disrepute, by stepping aside!
Have the police invited him for questioning? No! Has the senate and house of assembly who passed a budget that is a lie to itself summoned him? No!
We see the lawlessness of this government? How can this be defended anywhere on earth? What difference exists between this government and military rule?

IMF has already alerted that the FG is making out of budget / unrecorded expenditure. First of its kind.

All I have learnt from this incident is that a president (or presidency) can set up sketchy agencies, have his legislator cronies give it smooth passage and then allocate billions to the agency to service his political structure or directly launder stolen government money.

They gave the Adeniyi a man a toy car to play with on the street, but it went to his head. He took it onto the busy highway and got caught; now they’re denying any involvement. The cover was finally blown when he overstepped into the duties of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This is straight-up Mafia-style intimidation, pure and simple.Instead of arresting Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi himself, charging him in open court with the alleged forgery and impersonation, and letting due process run, the police storm the family home in Ogbomoso, haul away his elderly father and a visitor like common criminals, and leave the mother traumatised. For what? To send a message? To pressure the family? To settle scores in the shadows?

We are not in a banana republic run by thugs and occult cabals. We have a Constitution and rule of law, at least on paper. This Gestapo-style tactic of dragging relatives into the mix is gangsterism, not policing. It reeks of desperation and abuse of power.If the evidence against Prince Adeyemi is so strong, arrest him, charge him publicly, and prove your case in court.

Stop hiding behind family intimidation and thuggish operations. Nigerians are tired of this occult, Mafia playbook where institutions are weaponised to harass and silence instead of delivering justice.Enough of the shadows.

Let the law breathe in the open.

If we have been arresting/punishing parents for the rubbish the children they train do (like the Bible and African cultures did in the past), we would not have the preponderance of problems we have like terrorism, kidnappers, useless politicians , yahoo, hookup girls and so on.....we support/defend rubbish to much in this country for the sake of money and fleeting fame.
