Last week I saw video of some of football fans that attending ongoing world cup in USA complaining about tips. They said in every transaction they must tip the staff. One of that asked are not being paid wages.

But in Africa tips are treated as bribes. Lobbying is officially allowed in USA and UK governance but in Nigeria they're being called bribery and corruption. So what the people that created that agency did was to promote direct foreign investment in Nigeria. As you any new agency that get power from national assembly; the key positions must be shared among senators and fed reps otherwise they won't pass the bill.

My take on this non existent federal agency is that the major fault came from DG, Adeyemi who accepted to act as a DG of let call it new federal agency
Without Act of national assembly. The fact is that the DG fails on his commitment to be sharing the budget between the people who appointed him until national assembly make a law establishing same.

The DG should be prosecuted for knowingly become DG of federal agency without promulgated Act of national assembly.

The debate throughout this week is about how a 'lie' can penetrate to the inner sanctum of government and the Presidency and do so much damage. It is just too unbelievable to be true that he acted ALONE.

That if our government is so porous then how can the average Nigerian trust it with power.

Look Mister, there is no way of white washing the failures of the government at hand. They are either grossly corrupt or grossly incompetent. There are severe penalties for either in sane societies.

I have just listened to some fellow on radio here in Abuja saying that the President cannot personally monitor everything that occurs in government. Every report, every memo bla bla bla....

But this President above any before him operates the largest bureaucracy since independence, particularly in the face of calls for a trim of public expenditure.

There is an army of advisers and assistants in Aso Rock who can spare a little time out of their busy schedules chasing contracts to vett what Mr. President sees and does.

And you know what. He, Mr. President appointed every single one of them. You his supporters have often claimed that, and I quote, '...will he appoint his enemies...'

So his 'friends' like you work for him. Why can't you help your friend save himself from this national embarrassment. Why don't you help your President instead of berating society and expecting everyone to buy smoke.
