Where exactly is the location of heaven and where exactly is the location of hell? I want us to think very deeply on these questions. Reading the Holy books there are various instances of holy men and angels descending and ascending from and up to heaven. The question is : Where is heaven? Is it in the sky where airplanes have reached or is it in outer space where the recent space ship ArtemisII recently orbited? The second question is where exactly is hell where it is claimed the devil and his rebellious followers dwell? Is it also near the heavens or deep under the ground? The religious books tell us that when we do good, our reward is heaven and those who do evil, their reward is in hell. Where are these places located? Are they spiritual places that cannot be seen by human eyes or are they places that can only be seen and located by the dead ones? |

Even here nairalanders come and go from their houses and they do not disclose their location so, it is no big deal that you can not find their location. But when you die, you would see and enter the vehicle that takes you to hel |

kingxsamz:The Bible and the Koran state the opposite to this. Reference to heaven in particular dot all over the Holy books even if Hell is less clear and ambiguous. Enoch: Described in Genesis 5:24, Enoch "walked with God; and he was not, for God took him." The Epistle to the Hebrews confirms that he was taken so that he should not see death. Elijah: In 2 Kings 2:11, Elijah was taken up to heaven in a whirlwind, accompanied by a chariot and horses of fire, while his successor Elisha watched. Jesus: The New Testament records that after his resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9–11). Unlike Enoch and Elijah, Jesus descended from heaven, died, and then ascended back, a distinction emphasized in John 3:13 where he states, "No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended from heaven." |

Here is Prophet Muhammad ascending to heaven on his special horse in the Koran and the hadiths. So I ask again:Where is this heaven located? Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven via a two-stage miraculous journey known as Al-Isra’ and Al-Mi’raj, traveling from Mecca to Jerusalem on the winged steed Buraq, accompanied by the Angel Gabriel (Jibreel), before ascending through the seven heavens. During this ascent, he met seven major prophets, with each level of heaven housing specific figures who welcomed him: First Heaven: Adam Second Heaven: John the Baptist and Jesus Third Heaven: Joseph Fourth Heaven: Idris (Enoch) Fifth Heaven: Aaron Sixth Heaven: Moses Seventh Heaven: Abraham At the highest point, near the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary, Muhammad received the command for five daily prayers from God, a number reduced from fifty upon Moses' advice, before returning to Mecca the same night |

TheMadame:Is Heaven/Hell a location or a state of being? ![]() 2. I think you would need to be specific about the particular religious books and passages from which your ideas regarding heaven or hell come. Also, you would note that the concept may also differ depending on what nation/people it is attached to. For instance, the heaven/hell defined by the Constitution of the United States differs from the concept of Heaven/Hell embraced by, say, Somalia or even Nigeria. ![]() |

Kobojunkie:So you did not see all the religious books from the Bible,Koran and the Hadiths I quoted,or you just want to be mischievous as usual? |
| Re: Where Is Heaven? by Kobojunkie: 4:45pm On Jul 05 |
TheMadame:Anyone who has, in fact, read those books would immediately tell you that the concept of heaven/hell in the Bible differs from the same concept found in the Quran and its Hadiths. ![]() So, again, you need to deal specifically with each book, religion, and/or nation. ![]() |

TheMadame:You had better ignore that busybody-know it all named kobojunkie. Her reputation is well known on Nairaland.com. Back to the theme of the thread ,which is the location of heaven and hell? I doubt anyone can tell you anything reasonable on these issues because it is almost impossible to get any empirical evidence about the location of heaven or hell. In fact I would proceed further to say that you would get more information on such issues from Ai,on the Internet or from Wikipedia than on Nairaland.com, where many people are still locked in a religious cage of fear. Most of them will ignore a thread as curious as this thread. Or will attempt to derail the thread or even ask you to DIE,first so that you can experience the location of heaven or hell. Yes,some of them can be as illogical, narrow minded, and petty like that. Anyone with a basic open minded knowledge of the Bible ,Quoran and other religious books would see instances where gods and religious beings are said to descend and ascend the heavens. These books were written by primitive men with no scientific knowledge. These people believed the Earth is flat and so the sky which is above is the heaven where the gods and spiritual beings reside. That was the extent of their knowledge and understanding which they masqueraded as the word of the god(s). For instance, the book of Isaiah 66:1, where the Hebrew god declares, "Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool." Personally I doubt if there is any place, called heaven or hell. All these a creations from the minds of men,in order to subjugate and control other men. The funny thing is that mind control still works on many people in 2026. Deconstruction of the mind is very important to escape the shackles of religion. |
| Re: Where Is Heaven? by Dtruthspeaker: 7:23pm On Jul 05 |
Caveatemptor:If at all you are logical you would remember that the Bible indicated that heaven/hell are spiritual places and to conclusively see them you have to leave your physicality which means you have to do what is calied "die" so that you would be wholly spiritual. And that is why it is funny that hell becomes clearer when people see that they are dying, hence why people going to hel start begging people to pray for them as they are dying with fear and panic whilst those going to heaven are smiling and telling the people still living "greet so so so for me, i am going". |

Lol.... ![]() More fables... Heaven in the sky and hell underneath the Earth. ![]() How rational people still believe these silly stories is positively shocking!!! A man lives in the belly of a fish for three days and survived? A man killed a wild lion with his hands? A man asked the sun to stand still and not set until he has defeated his enemies? A blind man brings down the whole structure of a building with his bare hands? A snake talks? A donkey just begins talking to humans? A man divides a sea with a stick and the waves stand on each side while a multitude of people walk through. Dead people open their graves and walk through the street like zombies? People are strangely propelled into the air and begin flying into the sky/heaven?? What in the name of the flying spaghetti monster is all this? If somebody came and told you that a man picked up the whole gates of a city and walked away with the gate, would you not question the rational in such a story? But such a story is in the bible and people believe these things sheepishly because they are afraid of being sent to hell fire!!! ![]() If someone told you a lady conceived a pregnancy through a ghost, would you not question such a story? But these ridiculous stories abound in religious books and people do not question these things and believe them in 2026?? Heaven and hell are fables and lies created clever men to maintain a grip on power and keep other people cowering in fear. The leaders of the church congregations all know that these stories are not true but they use these stories as a weapon to keep people in check!!! |

| Re: Where Is Heaven? by Goosethetruth(m): 8:23pm On Jul 05 |
Dtruthspeaker:As usual, you failed to respond to any of the points raised. Just spouting empty illusions to please yourself. Son none of it is real. It's all in your head! So in 2026,you as a rational being still believe in saying empty words to invisible and non existent fairies? Lol... ![]() You have a long way to go to escape mental slavery....shaking my heading pity for you and other religious slaves!!! |

Goosethetruth:Its not that hard, when you are lying dying on a hospital bed call me to come and video your final moments. Let the world see whether you can say this on that day, i will pay for your coffin for not believing you. Or better still lets arrange for you to be injected with typhoid fever and malaria while you are near the hospital and treatment will only start 2days after when you might be beginning to die, let us see if you wont pray and know that hell is real If i lose i pay for the hospital bill and give you 500k for compensation. All would be videod and brought here. If you are to sure, take my challenge |
| Re: Where Is Heaven? by Meritjoshua(m): 8:58pm On Jul 05 |
i don't believe heaven, hell, or an afterlife objectively exist. to me, they're human created concepts, stories or myths that help shape moral behavior and social order. Religion, in that sense, has historically served as a way to restrain humanity's and encourage people to act ethically. |

Dtruthspeaker: Its not that hard, when you are lying dying on a hospital bed call me to come and video your final moments. Imagine how religion brainwashing made you to be bitter to the extent of wishing bad things to others How can the so called religious people be harboring this kind of hatred towards others like this? Chai, with religion, just forget about using your free gifted senses |

Goosethetruth:You know the funniest part, I didn't even have any intention of responding to that guy's comments but I just couldn't wrap my head around all his bile comments. How can someone wished others such evil just because of religion discussion. That was too bitter mehn. Say wetin happen |

helinues:Lol....😆😁😄 He probably feels he is defending and fighting for his invisible, and non existent entity. Religious people always lose it in the face of superior intelligence. They hate to see anyone being logical, rational or using brains to question the illogical premises of religion. I find that guys temper tantrums quite amusing. He never addresses the theme of any thread. It is always insults and emotional immaturity. Never trying to think deeply. Like I said earlier, even the pastors know that religion is unreal but they enjoy the power it gives them over their flock of sheep. It takes lot to deconstruct from mental shackles that have been placed on one since birth!😀😀 |

helinues:If you were not brein laundried by atheism you would have seen that there is nothing to be bitter about and that even your atheist brother got that i was only putting him in the situation he would unavoidable see for himself and confess the Truth. He could also call us when he is terminally sick for us to come and ask him whether he is not feeling the heat and flames of hel he is going to. Let us see if he won't say the Truth just like others do And this is the use of his own senses. Chai, with atheism, just forget about using your free gifted common sense and intelligence |
