Abia Command Apprehends Suspect on Viral Video: To be Charged for Attempted Murder

1. The Abia State Police Command is aware of a viral video on social media depicting a woman attempting to harm a young girl with a knife. The suspect has been apprehended, and investigation is ongoing.

2. Preliminary investigation reveals that on 05/07/2026, Mrs. Nwoko Gift, female, 35 years old, of Ehimembano Imo State but resides at IBB Housing Estate, Umuahia, the aunt to Miss Ebo Chimamanda (female, 12 years) of the same address, on the same date attempted to kill Miss Ebo Chimamanda, who stays with her, on the basis that she refused to spread the clothes she was asked to spread before the suspect (Mrs. Gift) left for the market. Investigation also revealed that the suspect has repeatedly beaten and has been threatening to kill young Miss Chimamanda.

3. Operatives from the World Bank Divisional Police Headquarters, Umuahia, raced to the scene leveraging on actionable intelligence, rescued the victim, apprehended the suspect, and recovered the exhibit knife. Investigation is ongoing, as the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), and the suspect will be charged for attempted murder upon conclusion of investigation.

4. The Command condemns such actions for whatever reasons and advises members of the public to desist from such act, as well as to report any such incidents to the nearest police station.

Women are deadlier than men when it comes to domestic violence... u wudnt see female activists and feminist call out women that do this or protest ...even the organisations will keep quiet ... even as its a girl child thats being abused.... this shows that the whole fight against domestic violence is due to their hatred towards men... where is iyabo ojo , where are the rest .... they only time u see them spread wings is if they hear husband beat wife ... abusing a child violently is even way worse than a man that beats his wife ...because most times u hear a man hit a woman, the woman was violent towards him or extremely was insulting him...will even slap the man ..when the man now retaliates they say " a man should never hit a woman no matter what she does to him ".... but u see women hit , maim and brutally kill defenseless children than will be pleading and begging for these women to stop hurting them...children that cant even fight back... this shows u that if women were physically stronger than men, they will do worse than what men do to women ... thats y I dont support their nonsense protect a girl child BS fight against domestic violence... they think domestic violence is only when a man hits a woman...how selfish .... u hardly see men do this to children ...only if society knew the number of boys being sexuallly abused by women....

I made a simple comment on the other thread about leaders and governors stepping in to buck this ugly trend of women abusing and brutalizing kids especially unpaid helps and relatives, and for reasons I can't fathom, my comment was deleted, and I got banned.

Yet, on that same thread, ethnic insults still fly around unchecked and unbanned.
