Instead of seeing it as something wrong with African teams, I actually see it as African teams awakening. Go back 10 years ago, African teams would have been well beaten to pulp right from group stage. Now they are getting better and it's a source of encouragement. We are getting there sooner or later.

As for today, I went with Messi, being the GOAT. Maybe in 10 years time the GOTT(Greatest Of That Time) we will all be supporting and chanting will be from Africa. I know it will happen, sooner than later.

They actually did in unimaginable way. Before the dehydration, Egypt were on top of the game, the disallowed goal was just a moral killer. As an Egypt player on that field, as the referee is going to the VAR, inside you , you wouldn't have thought that ball will be disallowed considering where the acclaimed foul happened.
