I didn't believe this team could do it. Messi would have registered 10 goals so far in this tournament if he was a good PK taker like CR7, Halland and Mbappe. Don't mind the guy. Na FIFA dey carry his legs dey play cool and passionate football? I have said it and will continue to say it: even if Messi finally gets knocked out, it's worth it. He has made a strong statement. I also give it to the coach who did some crazy change in formation which turned out to be the game changer in this match. He converted a CB to a striker and moved Messi to the right and boom came the goals. Football could be crazy at times.

What are you saying? 2014 that Argentina finished as runners up and Nigeria finishing second from the group. 2010 Argentina was knocked out by Germany in the quarter finals.

Unless you are referring to the 2018 tournament, where Nigeria lost 2 goals to 1 and Argentina was knocked out by France in the round 16.

It's deeper than football, it's there in our culture, shifting values, indiscipline, sustainability...firefighting approach etc.

I saw somewhere here ..somebody saying Super Eagles would not have let go of a 2-0 lead like this but we forget ...it's almost this sort of behaviors that cost us qualification for the WC...we lost to teams we should have beaten and drew most of our games scandalously...and a few times we drew our games in the final stages😒

What do you mean? One assist and one goal. He has scored 85% (may not be accurate) of their goals in this WC. One thing with him is, he doesn't claim the glory when interviewed after every win. Bab dwy ball o, my man. Luck almost ran out on him. There is also the place of luck in football.
