They are always doing their research on Nigerians and then come up with something that would look so convincing. And not just that, they are ready to go far as spending huge amount of money on awareness and renting of expensive event centres, thereby making them look very rich and promising.

gullible ones are the first to join the bandwagon even if they were victims to past ponzi schemes

They never learn, i am not greedy to fall for such scheme,
Re: National Reading Culture (NRC) Crashes by EdiskyHarry: 9:08am On Jul 08
How Nigerians still fall for this scam is shocking . I have no pity for such people. Apart from bet 9ja and sporty bet, there's no platform on the planet Earth you can invest money and it doubles up within few minutes or hours for doing nothing

You should, so that people can know and beware.
Someone warned us of Matthew Adeyemi in 2017 but we didn't take good note. Today, he's scammed the whole nation.

I'm just hearing about the platform for the first time. But wait o, you mean there are still people that fell for this kind of scheme?

Kai!🤔

nlfpmod:
The "National Reading Culture (NRC)" was a task-based "read-and-earn" platform targeting Nigerians with promises of daily income for reading digital novels.

However, investigations confirm that NRC has crashed, leaving thousands of investors unable to withdraw their funds.

The Operation: Users were required to pay "VIP level" registration deposits (ranging from ₦18,900 to ₦174,000) and complete simple reading tasks daily to earn supposedly high, guaranteed returns.

The Outcome: The site unexpectedly shut down and operators vanished, leading to the loss of billions of naira for users.

This kind of things happen in a country with criminal government.

There is no online scheme that can't be traced. Government is either involved or dangerously ignorant

Re: National Reading Culture (NRC) Crashes by FortCavazosKnox: 9:29am On Jul 08
The man that launched this is a proper guy man, I knew from the onset that this is another ponzu scheme. The people that fell for this are greedy, gullible and lazy. They just just want to put their money somewhere and watch it multiply the next day. Even sportybet, you have to pick the odds yourself

The scammers can be traced if the police wan work. Check their WhatsApp groups:platforms, trace the uplines and arrest them. Recovery will be made but people may not get a substantial fraction of their investment

Re: National Reading Culture (NRC) Crashes by sterlingD(m): 9:40am On Jul 08
Our people should exercise due diligence before committing their hard earned funds into any form of investment

For clarity we have SEC( Security and Exchange Commission ) who approve , register and regulate investment managers and platforms they can run due diligence through them.

Then for investments we have mutual funds(Money market funds, fixed income funds), Treasury bills,FGN Bonds, Corporate bonds (Investment grade), Stocks which people can invest in with investment strategy based on their investment goals and objectives. Our people should be looking in this direction. These investment are covered by SEC and other government regulatory agencies charged with jurisdiction over financial investment

The world is full of !d!0ts. How on earth does an average sensible person believe that you can earn money by reading stuff online? And why should you deposit money to read to earn money? Only confirmed !d!0ts would believe the BS. Ever since Donald Trump waa elected president of the United States, I've lost faith in human rationality.
Re: National Reading Culture (NRC) Crashes by Reference(m): 9:47am On Jul 08
Because they refused to read..... government warnings, civil society earnings and even common sense warnings.

What can be a better definition of antithesis. That intellectualism can be caught up by emotion and greed. That is supposed to be the bastion of the crass simpleton.

What can be so brazen as the obvious hidden in plain sight.

Shows that the average Nigerian just does not have the mental capacity to succeed on the pure sense of it. Money, greed, avarice seems to have taken a seat at our traditional council.

There should be a law that criminalizes anyone who claims to have lost money to a Ponzi scheme, and that empowers Ponzi organizers to sue their victims for being victims of the Ponzi.

We need that law.
Gbam!! Ponzi scheme investors are criminals!!
Re: National Reading Culture (NRC) Crashes by regenerateman(m): 10:15am On Jul 08
Nigerians don't learn from their mistakes. They will join another one that springs out tomorrow. The economic upheaval shouldn't be reason Nigerians will be joining such schemes.
