Job Title: Logistics Customer Service Representative

Location: Orchid Road / Ajah / Lekki / Addo Road, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Work Schedule: Orchid Road (7:30am- 1:30pm morning Shift - 1:00pm - 8:00pm Afternoon Shift), Ajah (5:30am- 1:30pm morning Shift - 1:00pm - 8:00pm Afternoon Shift), Lekki (7:30am- 1:30pm morning Shift - 1:00pm - 8:00pm Afternoon Shift), Addo Road (7:30am- 1:30pm morning Shift - 1:00pm - 8:00pm Afternoon Shift).

Job Summary

The Logistics Customer Service Representative at GUO Logistics will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient handling of parcels and courier services across multiple locations.
The role involves managing customer interactions, coordinating parcel movement, routing and tripping, ensuring proper packaging, registration, and inspection of all items, while maintaining high service standards that reflect the GUO brand’s commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing professional assistance on parcel booking, rates, delivery timelines, and other logistics inquiries.
Coordinate the routing and tripping of parcels to ensure prompt dispatch and timely delivery across all GUO Logistics locations.
Supervise and verify proper packaging, registration, and inspectionof parcels before dispatch to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Track and monitor parcels in transit and proactively update customers on delivery status or any service delays.
Maintain accurate shipment documentation including waybills, manifests, receipts, and proof of delivery.
Handle customer complaints, claims, and inquiries effectively, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with the operations and dispatch teams to facilitate smooth coordination between terminals and delivery points.
Record and maintain customer data and transaction history accurately in the CRM system.
Support revenue collection and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
Promote GUO Logistics services by maintaining a positive and professional image in all customer interactions.

Requirements

Key Competencies:

Education: Minimum of HND / Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience: An experiencein logistics, courier services, or transport operations, preferably within a structured logistics company.
Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong understanding of parcel handling and logistics operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics tracking tools.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure.
Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.

Salary

Addo / Orchid: N110,000 monthly.
Ajah / Lekki: N150,000 monthly.

Both the employer and the employee most times are victims of the corrupt system. Overhead cost for a delivery from Abuja to Benin with the economic state of things, may take almost 90% of the net profit received by the company, which may be a reasonable ground for the low pay.

However, from a more reasonable perspective , the question we should be asking as a youth is : where are the proceeds from the resources the leadership of this country are managing on behalf of the people kept?

What are these monies used for ?

Let me state this clearly, if our system operates fairly: assuming we have good road networks across the entire country, excellent transportation systems, reliable and standard electricity, and good water system with robust and sustainable management architecture in place over these amenities, the effect would translate to fair pricing system of general commodities, like petrol, food, and affordable housing.

The relief Nigerian citizens will get from this will be 100 million times of the relief fuel subsidy removal will offer Nigerians.

Countries have less than 5% of the mineral resources we have are doing far better than us. Citizens of those countries enjoy quality healthcare, education and overall quality life, because amenities that makes life easy are reliably provided to the citizens by their government.

UAE and Nigeria gained independence the same year , while citizens of the UAE live like kings and queens, ours live from hand to mouth.

Let me now shock you. Nigeria is also rich in youthful population meaning our workforce is growing faster with energetic youths, which should have been a huge economic advantage to the nation, but the government deliberately kills them by providing zero enabling environment for them, thereby pushing those youths into various crimes.

That’s why a day will not go by that a Nigerian youth won’t be caught committing one crime or another.

A youth with ambition and the ability can’t stay quiet if things aren’t working for him. He would have to find alternatives. That’s the sad story of the country.

We the Nigerian youths need to take back the leadership of this country from the zombies and find those who are selfless , and conscious about the good of everyone, to manage our resources efficiently.

Quality of living of 90% of Nigerian citizens is not different from children of poor parents , whereas this ugly state is not the genuine reflection of who we are.

Go and open your own biz and start paying 1 M .. is VAT and other multiple taxes under T!nubu tax regime a joke to you, plus you go still buy disle, maintain vans, Internet cost self no small, and subscribe to enterprise logistics softwares and manage a lot of overhead cost.

The only place you know to cut cost is Human Resources, which is the most importance resource you have in your business. No wonder employees always try to cut corners with abysmal customer service. Nothing to live/work for and they leave once any opportunity opens. Why do you feel I don’t have a business? lol. Do not assume what you don’t know.

This salary is okay for ONLY those that are staying close to the company like really close. If you are staying far and you take this job you might as well be working for free.
