Until he comes out to tell the world how the budget of the new agency got into the 2026 appropriation bill, the scandal is on him. Or did he also send his staff to go check the address the second time to confirm the budget?

It's daring but not as difficult as people think, especially in our oga at the top mentality environment. Daring criminals can pull crazy stunts and get away with it. I have seen several instances where security officials just look at your security badge and ask you to bless the boys. Lots of ministry officials are too lazy or docile to even scrutinize any document. If you say you are from the presidency or governor's office, you are likely going to get away with it, at least until Mr Adeyemi's ongoing case. They don't want to cross the path of any high level official.

What ever, this there is a powerful man, pulling this stunt. That man cannot do this alone. According to the man, he stopped going to work and his office was reallocated since Oct 2025. So who prepared, defended the budget. Who received the budget in the budget office and who submitted the budget?

Over the next handful of days, a substantial number of high profile APC politicians are going to come up with this sort of storylines just to lend credibility to the government's claim of the agency being a fake. If you've witnessed this country's politics over the last three decades as I have, this shouldn't be so hard to decipher.

This is not to say that the agency has been operating on full legitimacy, but someone very highly placed kept this agency on life support, using Adeyemi and every other tool of plausible legitimacy, just to siphon humongous allocations.

Whoever it is that was the mastermind, is so highly placed that Aso rock will rather sacrifice Adeyemi than expose the actual architect of this sordid scheme. Tinubu's government might have been oblivious from the start, but when this debacle started to gather steam, the government realized the brains behind it and opted to protect them.

A "fall man" had to be found. And Adeyemi is him. They'll nail him to protect the presidency and actual thief behind this scheme. But once all of this dies down, Nigerians shouldn't be surprised to hear of an aso rock cabinet reshuffle or voluntary resignations of one or two highly placed figures.

No be conspiracy theory. It is the rotten framework upon which the Nigerian leadership has operated in the last ten years, and some of us never fail to recognize patterns.

No single ordinary Nigerian can pull this type of stunt on his/her own to the extent we are seeing this one play out.
If it was a one time fraudulent act,I would have said,ok..oo,a single individual can dare.

We are all making assumptions here until the facts come out. I never said he acted alone and I never said it's a one off, you made those up, he already said it himself that he worked with an influential partner who was later found dead in a hotel fire incident in October last year and he had phone conversations with someone who claimed to be Gbaja. In legal parlance, there is a term called organized crime and it's used for a reason.

Criminal investigations have no place for pick and choose assumptions and emotions but a thorough understanding of all possibilities is important while discussing such cases. You simply can't discountenance any possibility in place of easy assumption.

Whatever actually happened is the fact in any investigation, not what makes sense in the mind of you or I. There is no right or wrong assumption while investigating a case.
