To answer your question, You shouldnt have much to worry about, Blue card applications are generally faster in comparison to the Opportunity card. Although, I suspect that at the moment, it is currently a peak period given that lots of applicants are awaiting next steps.

Also I think not getting any comment and push back after your last round of corrections is most likely a positive, You should possibly get a notification to book an interview appointment within the next 2 weeks max.

I think you are in a good spot though, I wouldnt worry myself too much if I were you. One thing you could possibly do for others on this thread seeing as you're a new poster is to tell how you went about your job search, what platforms you used and what you think put you at an advantage ( maybe you knew the language, your industry perhaps, worked or schooled in Europe previously etc) that'll be really useful.

I focused on tech, specifically AI and software engineering, I think that was my biggest advantage since I already work in enterprise AI, also have built a couple of personal products myself. The role I'm joining is in AI engineering, so it was a close match.

I used linkedIn and applied to roles that matched my background. Building in public helped, I've been sharing my work online for a while (conversations came up around some of them during the interviews)

I went through a series of interviews and a couple of technical tasks before the offer came. I'd also be honest that there was a bit of luck involved, as that was the only interview I landed.

I don't speak the language, my colleagues speak English (just started learning the basics now). I also never schooled in Europe.

Hi Tifay, I have someone who waited for 12 weeks before decision was made and he was denied based on the salary threshold. However, with the fast tracking procedure, both salaries are evaluated and if approved by the Agentur für Arbeit, 60% has been done. Then it only boils down to credentials, how authentic your certificates are.

You're wrong here, you can apply for different Visa category without getting a reject. As it stands, the Blue Card is the fastest route and will be given a priority. The only way it might be an issue is when the ask her to book an appointment on both OC and Blue Card, of which they will write her to delete one process, it doesn't cause a denial. I speak form experience.

Don't delete the Opportunity Card yet until you get the Blue Card Visa.

Note: something might go wrong along the process of your Blue Card and you'll have to fall back to the OC.

You're spot on. To help you further, I'd also suggest that if you don't have a birth certificate, you should do a digital affidavit that has a barcode on it. A friend who got almost same offer as you was denied strictly because his age declaration from court couldn't be verified. Just confirm that yours is intact. Shalom!

One last thing though, Depending on your long term plans for and in the country, I'll say you most likely will benefit a lot from learning the language.

I suspect the part time offer was possibly the reason why it took that long. The evaluation, back and forth before ultimately deciding

Probably wont be the case if it was just the blocked account he used. Although I think there are peak periods or holidays that can be partly responsible at times for long decision making

Why would anyone apply for Chancekarte when he already has a job offer?.

In certain embassies, this would almost mean a rejection as your intentions to come into the country may be seen as conflicting, i.e running 2 contradictory visa applications, first application for job seeker visa (Chancekarte) and a second application for a work permit with a job offer already

What if both applications come through at the same time. Which one would he prioritize?, I hope you know he would be required to submit his passport in both cases

Even if the opportunity card were to go through and he is asked at the interview about his job applications, the moment he says he has a job offer, they would either ask him to transfer or it would be an outright denial.

Anyway, he already said he didnt have the blocked account, hence why he didnt go through with the application, but I guess it worked for him as it's helped him land a job offer.

I applied last September and am currently in the preliminary review stage.

Unfortunately, I made an oversight error; I did not apply for ZAB earlier. A little background: I had a physical interview last year, in September (I applied using the earlier method). My blocked account funding was slightly delayed and was not ready on the day of the interview, and I tried to appeal for a few days to finalise the fund transfer, to no avail. The main cause of rejection was the blocked account, which was rightly funded a few days later.

My current bottleneck is ZAB processing time (expecting result by 22nd Aug) and I've been given until 20th July to provide it or my application will be deleted. I have met all other requirements except the ZAB. Also, I submitted a copy of the same degree on anabin, although it's not under my university's name but a similar federal university with the same curriculum and rating.

Has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do? Or have a suggestion on how to appeal for more time to get the ZAB?

The question is if you're university is also recognized apart from the degree being recognized?.
I think the both must be recognized either separately or combined

Thank you, not at all, I have to start afresh again brotherly. They actually gave me 3months to provide my block account and I was working with that time frame before my account was deleted even before the 3months elapsed. I tried reaching out to them but haven't heard back from them yet

Please can people who used Anabin clarify this for us . My Uni is recognized and my certificate, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is also recognized but the university is University of Lagos , not the university I finished from .

Your university needs to be recognized by Anabin and have an H+ rating. In addition, the name of the course should also be registered under the university on Anabin.

If your course is Master of Science in Mass Communication, the same name should match on anabin (If you see Master of Tech in mass communicate, then this won't fly and you need to do ZAB evaluation).
