Even companies registered with SEC scammed people, your loan apps arent registered with the CBN or licensed as money lenders in Nigeria, legally they have no right to collect repayments from you.

Next time when you use a loan app check if they re licensed as money lenders if they are not , dont repay!!

Government can't 100% curb all these vices,they can only ensure it is reduced to the barest minimum.And since govt can 100% stop operation of scammers ,it is up to the people to know how to safeguard their funds by investing in legit business or roll it back to their business capital but greedy people won't hear word,they will rather invest in schemes that promises them outrageous returns that is not always sustainable.

A government who has never shown any will to fighting corruption is not fit to be a government.

You as a supporter of such government shows how little you know about government. I don't want to talk about how it portrays your character as a human being

Not only that, most of this ponzi schemes are operated on telegram app. Do you want the government to be checking the internet for frauds when they have told you times without number to report such schemes to the CBN?

Do telegram have account where you lodge money with kyc verification?

Do the scammers spend the money on telegram without withdrawal to a bank account?

Do CBN not know the inflock of transactions the telegram account was generating per day.

In as much as I detest apc and our other crops of politicians policy of impoverishing the masses and the economic decline through inflation still I can tell the government has no hand in this because a country with a greedy people will exist even if their economy is booming even during president jonathan,and yar adua's tenure there was ponzi scheme which few of my friends fell for was the economy not better then?mmm crashed in mid 2016 buhari stringent measures of encumbering masses with hardship hadn't really taken root then self.

Even white people also fall for ponzi scheme read on opera mini news early this year where a Russian fraudster(ponzi operator)and his wife were murdered in a cave in Dubai they were on vacation and sight seeing can't really recall if they were murdered in the cave or their corpses were thrown in it only they were found there after searching for them for almost a week with their corpses decomposed because of Dubai immense heat and high humidity they had really scammed Americans, Russians,British and other many European people of their hard earned money and were ballers,kept creating different Ponzi schemes after another,were on the run as the Russian government even had a bounty on them it was like they sought refuge in Ukraine or Georgia I can't remember precisely now,owned yachts and fast luxurious cars from the fraud!!


If it's because of economic woes then Nigerians shouldn't even be investing in ponzi scheme since improverished people won't even have that kind of money to begin with is it people who live from pay check to pay check that will have 2.5 million to put in a ponzi scheme?so you see Nigerian are just greedy,not content with what they have and loves fast and easy money it's even the well to do that get scammed by the scheme!

Oga, like I said before, stop talking nonsense. Did anyone petition the account? Was the company not registered? So, why would the CBN monitor a corporate account with a commercial bank when no red flag was raised?

Oga use your brain small na! Telegram is an encrypted app. It's encryption can even be modified by the user. So why do you want the government to be monitoring an app just because some citizens want to be foolish and greedy with their money?
