I have always maintained that to deter the US permanently, you must show willingness to strike mainland US. Striking third party countries also makes sense when Americans start returning home in bodybags.

Why waste American lives when there is a lot of willing cannon fodder available. From the Emiratis to Bahrainis and Jordanians, far too many colonised and dependent countries on the US. Or how else would Israel and the US start a war and when it's time for soldiers to die, they arm the Kurds to do the fighting and dying.

Same with Ukraine.
