National Democratic Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has backed the recent comments by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, that President Bola Tinubu has done his best on security, saying the President now needs to “go home and rest.” Obi made the remarks during a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo uploaded on YouTube on Thursday while responding to a question on why Nigerians should support his presidential ambition instead of backing another opposition candidate. Asked why he should be elected, Obi said Nigerians should assess his track record and compare it with his current proposals for the country. “It’s for you to look at my past and look at what I’m saying now,” he said. Enoch Adeboye File: Pastor Enoch Adeboye Reacting to Adeboye’s comments on Tinubu’s efforts to tackle insecurity, Obi said the respected cleric was correct in saying the President had tried his best. “Somebody asked me yesterday, they said that Pastor Adeboye said Tinubu has tried his best and he’s not happy. “And I said, no, Pastor Adeboye remains a very revered, respected religious father, whom I believe in his genuineness and goodness. “And what he said was correct. He said he has tried his best. He’s trying his best. That’s it. It’s the correct answer. Obi argued that leadership requires competence, capacity, compassion, commitment and character, adding that the country’s current security challenges showed the need for a change in leadership. “When I talk about leadership, I say competence, capacity, compassion, commitment, character. These are the issues. President Tinubu is tired. He needs to go home and rest,” Obi said. PUNCH Online had earlier reported that Adeboye defended Tinubu against criticisms over worsening insecurity, saying the President had fulfilled his responsibility by issuing directives to the military. Speaking during the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala organised by the Save Nigeria Group in Washington, D.C., on June 23, Adeboye said it was unfair to accuse the President of inaction because a commander-in-chief was not expected to personally participate in military operations. “I don’t support those who are accusing the president of not doing enough. When the commander-in-chief has given instructions to his subordinates, he has done his bit. You don’t expect him to go and put on khaki and fight,” Adeboye had said. Despite defending Tinubu, the cleric expressed concern over the worsening security situation, noting that terrorism and kidnapping had spread from northern Nigeria to the South. He disclosed that he advised the President to issue a 90-day ultimatum to military commanders to end insecurity or resign, while also urging the government to go after sponsors of terrorism, whom he said were known to the authorities. https://punchng.com/tinubu-has-done-his-best-peter-obi-agrees-with-adeboye/

He disclosed that he advised the President to issue a 90-day ultimatum to military commanders to end insecurity or resignThat's why no one is taking you seriously as you now talk without substance This same Peter Obi paraded court severally as a governor because others want him out due to election dispute and poor governance. He could have resigned honourably without going through the court process |

helinues:Lol. Obi is a clown. If Tinubu, regarding insecurity, has "done his best and needs to go home", despite being the most powerful Southern politician with staunch loyalists even in North, is it Obi who has built nothing and has no loyalists anywhere who can do better ? Obi is simply talking nonsense lately. As if intelligent and critical-thinking Nigerians don't know he is empty, without capacity and without political backing that can help a President. Can a fraud who has built nothing and no one succeed leading Nigeria that is highly divided, ethnically complex and religiously fractious? In what world is Tinubu the mate of Obi? |

Pexta:What job is that? And why are you convinced that your problems are a result of your boss and not your choices? ![]() If you are dealing with verbal assaults and no physical violence, have you considered shifting the focus of the assault back on the man and away from your person? For example, maybe the reason he calls you names has more to do with his not experiencing love as a child from his parents? Maybe his wife does not love or cherish him at home, his children see him as nothing at home, so in his delusion, he is convinced that insulting you is the way for him to feel more like a man(I know how ridiculous that may sound, but that is what many Nigerians actually do). Maybe your boss was simply raised terribly by his parents. 😒 Of course, while you shift the focus of the insults back to the one giving them, you still have to do the inner work necessary to help relieve you of the depression, frustration, and at the same time make you become a better worker, irrespective of your boss's actual shortcomings. ![]() |
