A dramatic video captures the moment members of the Nigerian military carried out an operation to recover a fully loaded trailer that was reportedly stolen in northern Nigeria.

The footage shows the truck approaching a military checkpoint, where soldiers had positioned themselves after reportedly receiving information about the stolen vehicle. The soldiers repeatedly ordered the suspected hijacker to stop, but the driver allegedly ignored the commands and attempted to force his way past the checkpoint.

In a bid to stop the fleeing truck, the military fired at its tyres. The vehicle eventually lost control, veered off the road, and somersaulted before coming to a halt.

As the incident unfolded, a voice speaking in Hausa could be heard in the background lamenting that the truck was "finished," expressing concern that the vehicle would be badly damaged after soldiers targeted its tyres to stop it.

After the crash, the suspected hijacker emerged from the overturned truck seemingly unhurt. He was immediately ordered to surrender before soldiers pinned him to the ground and took him into custody, preventing any attempt to escape.

I doubt it, he wasn't going fast enough and a truck can survive one tire loss. Seems to me it tippped over when he swerved to avoid the other truck blocking the road.

1 shot and the soldier got the tyre.
