I think most of you need serious education on this Tinubu lagos IGR.
1. Tinubu did not setup company that was generating money for Lagos
2. He did not attract new companies to Lagos that boost the IGR.
He simply took advantage of already big Lagos economy and the population he met and started taxing everything taxable even down to the poor woman hawking sachet water on the street
Now, that's not magic.

Let me break it down further for u.
Assuming I was appointed CEO of a company says, indomie company for instance. then I called all the staff to a meeting including the cleaners, I will now asked them to remit a percentage of their salary to the company, that we want to use it to expand the company for their benefit. Begging them to suffer for the meantime for the good of the company. Then after 1year, I will now declare that the company has made extra millions 😂
Millions from where?
Ofcos, taking the salary of staff members😁
That was exactly what Tinubu did in Lagos and that is exactly what he is trying to do in Nigeria now that it's not working for him because Nigeria economy doesn't need a tax collector, you will just throw everyone into poverty.

Now the main question:
After collecting this tax from the people,
what did he do with IGR during his 8yrs?
Mind you, despite the IGR, he still took huge anount of loans and left the state with huge debt way higher than any other governor in the 36states as at then.

Now answer my question,
What did our "master strategist" do with the IGR and the huge loans during his 8yrs?
Was it kept in the bank for other governors after him to add to what they generate during their time to use?
The IGR Tinubu generated and the loans he took on behalf of the state from 1999 to 2007, where and what did he use it for?

Lagos pre 1999 was already becoming a slum bcs the owners of Nigeria, the North left it and created Abuja with the aim that the city will die a natural death gradually.
Lagos pre 1999, education was in shambles. Lagosian flooded the schools in Ogun state instead for better and more quality education puting their wards in hostels. Tinubu came in and changed the situation. Now Lagos education is not only of high quality in Lagos but also free from primary to secondary. Same thing with security. They were almost selling human parts in Lagos in open market but Tinubu prioritized security and was the only governor who created special forces and security trust fund. Other governors later follow suits. How can u explain IGR magic Pre 1999. Someone who increased state IGR from 600million to 8 billion monthly during his time as Governor is a pace setter and performer. Other governors have come before him and no such feat. And today only between January and April 2026, Lagos generated 807 billion naira in IGR. And u feel it is the military or former capital status that laid this foundation? Tinubu created the wealth that Lagos is using to Gau today, same thing he is doing in Nigeria. Look at Nigeria IGR by the end of Buhari and compare what this man is generating for Nigeria today. States are paying salaries comfortably and are also doing projects. And u feel this is just fluke , despite falling oil prices and world wars here and there?
