The police officer had to apologise because he realised that the owner of Mercedes Benz is a middle aged Igbo businessman and family man who can defend his source of income, and not the regular fearful dreadlocked young Yahoo boys that they see as their bread and butter.

If I am that man, I will ask the policeman to enter the car so we can drive to the nearest police station. The policeman must replace that side mirror and glass..

If they don't let me see the DPO of that station, na state PPRO I dey call straight. If e no work, I am marching to the CP's office..

Nigerians and bias judgement, which one be na fellow man like you! Why will he break someone's glass and you expect him not to react and you are there telling him sorry, na man like you, hold the police make him pay with him one month salary, so that him eye go clear.

If he can use anger to smash the car's window glass,he should use that same anger to repair the car.
Pleading won't help in this situation,by the time the case reached the commissioner of police in the state,he should say goodbye to his job.

Citizens should respect constituted authorities too.

I believe one thing lead to the other and to where the police officer has to use force. But it shameful for supposed law enforcement officers to be the perpetual law breakers.

If you love your life, respect anybody that carry gun (automatically see them as harm robbers) and do not claim anything right but take note of their detail and report them to the right authority or bring them to the court-of-public-hearing/social media instead.
