I AM TALKING FROM EXPERIENCE.

THE PROCESS OF MAKING SUYA IS STRAIGHT FORWARD, SIMPLE AND DOES NOT ENCOURAGE BAD HYGIENE BUT KILISH FROM THE START TO THE END ENCOURAGES DIRT AND BAD HYGIENE.

KILISH IS MEATS SHREDDED AND PLACED IN THE SUN TO DRY FOR DAYS. IT COULD LAST FOR A WEEK IF ITS NOT A SUNNY SEASON.

WHILE IN THE SUN, FLIES OF DIFFERENT COLOURS PERCH ON THEM AND ARE LEFT TO HAVE A FILLED DAY. WE ALL KNOW THE TRADITION OF THE TRIBE THAT MAKE IT WHEN IT COMES TO HYGIENE.
THE WORST PART ARE THE LIZARDS THAT WALK MAJESTICALLY ON IT TO EAT THE FLIES. WHILE THE CHASE THE FLIES THEY DONT TAKE PERMISSION TO GO TO TOILET AND COME BACK . THEY POO THE MEAT.

THIS IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION . YOU CAN TALK A SROLL TO THE AREA WHERE KILISHI IS MAN TO GO AND SEE FOR YOURSELF. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU TAKE PICTURES YOU DONT ANNOY ABOKI BECAUSE THE KNIFE HE USES TO SLICE THE KILISHI MEAT IS NOT FAR FROM HIM.

Omo, some suya spots in Lagos are actually very neat and hygienic.

For me, Mende Suya Spot is one of the best. The environment is clean, the service is organized, and the suya is consistently tasty.

Forget all these street aboki suya.

You are absolutely correct, l am pretty much good with trying out and eating food / meals from different countries and continent, and l thank God for that ooooo 😜..

But my greatest worry, is that my friend doesn't eat Swallow, she prefers cakes, plantains, eggs and all this orisirisi foods, l complained to her family members and they said that they have tried their best to convince her to eat Swallow but she refused ooooooooo mucheche 😂

I love kilishi so much. My mum also buy them at the African shop in Ireland but it been a while I had some, nowadays just suya if I can get them.

If you go to any restaurants and you want to ruin your appetite, just check their kitchen or backyard you will not want to eat again in any restaurants because of the amounts of filth you will encounter.
But as long as the restaurant interior is clean and hygienic and the food is tasty, nobody cares about how the food is prepared.
