Also, imbeciles such as the ones you described could have been easily taken care of in the past by way of a beheading in the old system, which did not really spare even the nobles. undecided
Arrant nonsensico coming from someone who probably never heard of the Commission for Racial Equality, Operation Black Vote (OBV), or various other instruments employed to change the calculus of political representation in Britain.

You are sorely uninformed about this subject.

1. Yes, the numerous brain-dead inventions of the DEI movement are something I should pay particular attention to. Nonsense! 😒😒😒

2. Uninformed because I agree with Kemi that Britain and its legacy have been poo-pooed on by the psychotic delusion that is DEI? 😒

2. Deluded Nigerian? 😂😂😂😂

This is coming from a Nigerian who has never lifted a single finger to fight for the very same things in his home country, Nigeria! 😂😂😂

Listen, Kemi won't be the last brown-noser to travel up the creek without a paddle.

As for Britain and its legacy, what exactly are you on about?

Are we talking about the same country that has been struggling to re-invent itself since the second world war, when its empire was brought to its knees by the once colonised?

Are you one of those Nigerians who suffer from Stockholm syndrome? The type who cry about legacy more than Norman Tebbit and Enoch Powell?

1. Yet, to date, not a peep out of y'all about seeing DEI installed in your native land. At least Kemi has wholly disavowed Nigeria, and so has her mind focused on ensuring the country she has sworn to uphold does not go to the dogs in the end. You, on the other hand, claim both Yorubaland and the UK; however, it seems your particular allegiance is to maintaining the culture and ways of the kingdom, no matter what, while you fight to destroy the culture and laws in the other. 😒😒
Nigeria has other problems I believe must be confronted first, like misogyny and the oppression of women and even our lack of participation in democracy to name but a few, which I am very certain you have seen me address many times on here.

And for your information, DEI was not the first step UK took in addressing the things you refer to as DEI. The suffragettes did not name their fight DEI, and neither did we when we fought against racial discrimination.

Kobojunkie:
2. Wow! Yet, to date, in Yoruba land, you do not become a Nigerian simply by being born there. Color me not shocked! 😒😒😒
And that's Nigeria's law. Fortunately, one is Nigerian just by being born to Nigerian parents and that's good enough for most.

He is not going to accept that he knows nothing of what he speaks of, but more surprising is Kemi who ought to know better but seems to have not been taught the history of discrimination in UK and anything about these who fought for her to be in the position she is in.

Nigerians, many of which are insatiable, disingenuous and retrogressive.

They vilify Kemi alongside her political opponents because she has no plans to open up the doors of the state to them.
They hate her because she stands for what every sane individual who has been given the opportunity to serve in a country that works should portray.
They hate her because she has tethered herself to the preservation of British values and existence.

Need I remind you that Trump has the same stats as Kemi but does not favor the Germans or Scott’s neither does he give migrants a free pass.

It is a treasonable offense to hold citizenship of a country and owe it no allegiance, while also having the audacity to point fingers at someone who respects the terms of her citizenship.

If the tables were turned and a foreigner stood at the frontlines with well meaning Nigerians to support our development even against his ethnic background would we call him a traitor?

Hypocrites! The UK isn’t a concentration camp or a motel. It’s a country. Do not only think of how much money you can take away and repatriate to a village, but what you can add to ensure it remains open to well meaning migrants that share similar views on it’s advancement.

You cannot serve two master!

Wrong! Kemi Badenoch provokes outrage because, like Trump (your other hero), she advocates policies that are designed to stifle the progress made by minority groups in the country.

She gets called out because of her determination to abrogate civil liberties that were hard earned and won in Britain (the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), for example).

She gets called out for repeatedly denigrating her ancestral land in a way that no previous opposition leader has done, on the altar of political expediency! She wants to critique state-control - fine! Tell her to use China as a veritable example and not Nigeria. Kapish? She wants to talk about corruption? Tell her to look inwards at the country she resides in!

Listen, we know what her real problem is! We understand that she suffers from internalised racism because on arrival back in the UK at the age of 16, she experienced a disconnect from her people that affects her till this very day. We understand her and duly empathise, but we draw the line at her constant barbs and mean-spirited policies.

Trump does not favour Germans bah, but he prefers Norwegians - in his own words - and the 6,000 Dutch/German South Africans his administration has granted asylum to thus far.

Before making blanket statements, get your facts right!

You must be very brilliant to reason that Kemi is in power only because she was voted for by about 3.7% to 4.0% of black folks in the U.K., the vast majority of whom notoriously vote Labor? Unbeweavable! 😒😒

1. Do you even begin to understand what a strawman is? You responded to a comment directly refuting a claim that Kemi was elected into power by Nigerians by suggesting that she was not elected into power. Yet, you think a response meant to further solidify the point against the previous post, showing that Kemi did receive votes -- she was handed power by the electorate and that she also did not obtain said power from an electorate of a majority blacks or Nigerians -- is a strawman? undecided

You mean like how some Yoruba people complain that Igbos are buying up property in Yoruba land?

If the Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun, we have people like that. They are too lazy to use what is around them, and then complain when Igbos and Hausas rent and buy those properties and make use of them and then hire my people to work for them.

Actually, it is you who thinks we Nigerians in UK give a flying fuq about Kemi who has denied her own Nigerian heritage.

No, Kemi is not the leader of the Conservative Party because of us Nigerians in UK, and she has definitely ensured she will not be getting our vote to make her prime minister.

Hopefully for her, Britons on the right will ignore Farage and vote for Kemi so we can all see she does not need us. Please don't forget to tell me you told me so when that day comes.

You do not comprehend what you read because you are blinded by the rubbish you believe.

This thread began with a post that spoke about the work many others did that Kemi is now taking advantage of to be in the position she's in, but now she's climbed near the top she denigrates that work like you do thinking it's about land buying.

Elections will be held sooner or later. We'll see how your Kemi does then.

You still have not realized at this point in your life how utterly unreasonable and irrational that particular mentality you brandish against this woman is? undecided

You subject her to that because, in your mind, you are convinced that, because of her skin color --- a racist mentality by the way ---, she is supposed to be shackled to delusions and smallness managed and manipulated by other black people. Again, this is because [i]she was born black and Yoruba. (I very much doubt you would be this incensed had she been a black Haitian.) Kemi does not owe any of you black people or any criminal empire out there, no matter when or where, any of her loyalty or allegiance. If you cannot wrap your mind and brain around that, then this is a you problem, not a she problem. undecided

2. What does it or should it matter to you, though? You, as a black person living in the UK, probably never gave this lady your vote, ever, and probably never will. And even if she wins or loses the next election, it would still have absolutely nothing to do with you and your ilk? 😒

So, why are you trying to have us think that if she loses the next election, it would be because she did not pick your side of things? Are you certain you are OK? Win or lose, she will still have the fact that she got far without the help of the black community in the UK. She will still have the fact that she did not stoop as low as to piggyback off her skin color to win or hold power. 😒

To deny the glaring facts that migration and minority support institutions have gone rogue is disingenuous.
Be honest with yourself.

While it availed people like Kemi the opportunity to find a footing in a prosperous society and realize their full potential, today it has become a tool for tacit domination by ethnocentric groups.

It’s not about the UK anymore, but establishing societies within societies. Sedition and cultural revisionism on full display.

The burden on social welfare is alarming, crime, civil disobedience all mostly propagated by young migrants.

Same is lame my friend.

If you have a solution to the crisis in the UK, I’m all ears.

Denigration- refers to the act of unfairly criticizing, belittling, or attacking the reputation of someone or something.
You believe Kemi exaggerates her experiences of the Nigerian state?
Or perhaps she is aloof of the magnificence of Nigeria and makes up stories to malign the country.

An adage says it’s the one that loves you, that tells you your mouth is smelling.

Nigeria is in a bad state, very deplorable one. Perhaps Kemi might evoke the emotion of shame in our elected officials.

No one says Nigeria is not in a bad state. That is not a reason, however, to deny ones own Nigerianess as she stupidly did.

She has not only turned a lot of the Nigerian vote against herself, but also a lot of the black vote. And there's lots of boroughs where those groups make a difference and would affect her ability to become prime minister.

She is a politician, and should have cultivated us instead of what she did. Some of us were even dreaming of her becoming prime minister of UK and then positively effecting Nigeria, until she showed us how her own brain worked, to our disappointment.

If you truly love Nigeria as much as you say you do, you’d rally support for Kemi.

Your support should be based on a vow to ensure the UK ceases to remain a safe haven for corrupt politicians. Can’t you see how many of them have reduced trips to the US.

Dreams of moving to another country should be a nightmare for every Nigerian, but we need a bigger institution to destroy the hegemony currently bedeviling our country.

My vantage might not be all encompassing but I believe Kemi is angry at the wasted potential of Nigeria, and I share the same sentiments. There’s no infrastructure abroad that we cannot replicate in 2 years.

Kemi's policies are similar to Farage's, so voting for Kemi would be like the trees that kept voting for the ax because they thought its wooden handle made it one of them. I might think her nonsense would not affect me because I am not a Nigerian politician or corrupt for that matter, but that's not a risk to take.

As for US, dump's nonsense affects innocent Nigerians more than it affects any Nigerian politician.
