Kobojunkie:
The Quran and the Hadiths are not Islam? undecided

2. Islam only designates a thing as terroristic if and only if it is done against a legitimate Islamic government. Nigeria does not have what Islam considers a legitimate Islamic government of Allah. Islam sanctions as halal the murdering of people designated as takfiri by other Islamists. undecided
No that is wrong. Because muslims are required to be law-abiding, respect the laws of the land, and maintain public order when living under a non-Islamic constitution or semi Islamic constitution like in Nigeria. Islam did not say that you must first change a country's laws to Islamic laws before you can live in there.

Islam does not allow tagging of people as kafir. In fact, the word takfir in itself carries the notion of wrongful accusation. And as mentioned earlier it is very hard to establish against a person or group. A muslim can not just point to another muslim and call them kafir and start attacking them. Again that is terrorism. It takes a formerly muslim person to publicly renounce Islam by himself before you can declare them kafir in which case you'd be talking about 'riddah' (apostacy) and not 'takfir'. I hope you are not confusing the two terms.

Either the Taqiyya is really strong with you, or you have absolutely no clue at all about your own Islam. undecided

Here are 4 book volumes about Islam that I got acquainted with this year. I suggest you do the same if you have not already done this.

1. The Quran (any one of the 32 different Qurans will suffice)
2. Hadiths(So far, I remain busy with Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim which are both authentic--Sahih--- in Islam)
3. Sirat Rasul Allah -- The Life of Mohammed -- By Ibn Ishaq
4. Tahrir Al-Wasilah(Vol III) - Guidance on Islamic Law -- by Khomeini (also used by the IRGC)

Please, endeavor to read up so you don't go around thinking everyone is some gullible eejit waiting to be fooled by Islam. You waste your own time by such undecided

Buhari, a Sunni, famously used the principle of Taqfir to murder over 1000 Shiites right there in Nigeria not too long ago, and we barely heard a peep from all of the Islamists across Nigeria. But here you are telling me tales about what now? huh

At the right time, hand go soon touch this one.
If hand fit ouch Elrufai, hand go touch this one too. It's a matter of timing and precision.

Allah Most High says:
O Believers! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you (…).”
- Quran 4:59

So as far as there is no commandment to commit sin by the laws of your land, you are required as a muslim to be law abiding under that constitution.

What did you learn from those books that teaches that a muslim should be hostile to his host country?

What do you mean by Taqiyya?

1. Even the Islamic idea of morality is opposite of what it is elsewhere on the planet, so spare me the Islamic tales. grin

2. I learned that Islam is incompatible with what most Nigerians and African tribes want and desire. It is a religion that colonized much of North and Western Africa for over 1000 years, and it is making a comeback through the same violent means it had used in the past to enslave and humiliate much of our black ancestors. undecided

3. See! You are already doing the Taquiyya. Anyway, for the benefit of those watching this conversation, I will post a meaning so they are at least aware of what it is when it happens to them. grin

Hmmm. How can gumi talk about morality and justice in a situation like this? This guys don't care about anything like rules of engagement cos they are simply terror!sts and are out to create terror. Has he forgotten so soon how these guys k!lled and mutilated (bheaded) soldiers just a few months ago. If they don't care about morality and justice, why should we.

Most of these bandits are said to be foreigners, yet the government absolves them into the military. If we're not recruiting foreign nationals into our military, i don't see why we should absolve foreign repented terrorists..... my candid opinion though.....

So taqiyya entails that there is a threat to life involved. But when we are only having a conversation over a faceless forum like nairaland and you are accusing me of taqiyya, of what use is your accusation when there is no threat to my life? And of what use will such lying benefit my input, as a muslim, to the discussion. After all a reader will connect the posts with the provided evidences to make their own judgment. So I just laugh anytime one of you comes here to be shouting taqiyya taqiyya.

Wrong! Sharia courts are constitutional. Nigeria has had a 2-tier policing system since 1960, and that system is embedded in the Constitution - section 272-276 -, rendering section 10, the secular clause, of no meaning. undecided

2027 is expected to have been about either tearing up the existing constitution and creating a new one approved by the people, or having a national referendum freeing the regions from the state. However, the people are all over the place, so they refuse to consider what is best for the country. undecided
Try to differentiate sharia criminal justice system from sharia civil justice system.
Sharia civil justice system is supported by Nigeria's constitution, whereas sharia criminal justice system is not allowed in Nigeria's Constitution.

Sharia criminal justice system includes stoning blasphemous persons to death, stoning women to death for adultery etc, .

They should arrest this man na.. why is Mr. President allowing such vile human being to walk free?
How will El-rufai be in detention and this one will be walking free?

So the way terrorists a.k.a bandits are killing people is lawful and in line with International laws?.. attimes I feel ashamed to call myself a Nigerian seeing the kind of people we allow to roam freely.
This devil claiming cleric has no business commenting on matters of national security because he himself is a security threat to this nation.

GreenCovering, the entire world is aware at this point that the playbook for Islamists is to play victim when they are in the Islamic house of war - (Dar al-hab). Islamophobia/racism-- victimhood is the game-- are some of the cards that are typical of Islamists. This I learned well from reading Sirah Rasul Allah, by the way. grin

Begining to think he just wants to trend and is seeking attention at this point.

What signifies repentance? So after kidnapping, killing and raping for years, when caught you cann then claim repentance and then tax payers should then feed and clothe you while you are in jail or free while still being a threat or menace to society.

Where is the deterrenthuh Where is the justice for the victimshuh? How do we stop this persistent threat and violation to lives ( the most sacred of God's creation)huhhuh?

According to the currently trending legal lexicon that is uniquely applicable in Nigeria, the concept of "repentance" is simply a euphemism to describe the automatic and absolute impunity that is granted to Islamist terror gang members who wish to "make a new start" as free, criminally absolved felons, after committing egregious acts of pillage, abduction, torture, and genocide.

Sadly, the option of "repentance is NOT made available in Nigeria to petty thieves, "unpatriotic" online commentators, or stoners like yours truly who get caught in possession of small marijuana quantities. Those "less equal" categories of misdemeanor and infraction offenders can expect to be slam-dunked in jail where the sun never shines to languish for endless years of hellish "awaiting trial" limbo, regardless of their willingness to "repent" in the manner of Islamist genocide perpetrators who hold "get-out-of-jail-free" cards at the ready in the event of their arrest while shedding innocent blood.

I can't fathom the reason why government has refused to pick up this lunatic till date. What is a shame it is obvious he is a terrorist himself. Can't he recall the attrocities this bandit has perpetrated, briiliant Nigerian military officers, police officers and numerous civilians his associates has killed.

Sheikh Ahmad Gumi is a mad man that shouldn't be taken seriously. I strongly believe he has the backing of those in the corridors of power, hence nothing has been done to him since, despite inflammatory and provoking statements he has been making over the years.
