Now, now, I don’t think Messi is racist at all. I think he's just a humble, nice guy (unlike, say, CR7), who just happens to be the greatest player to ever play the game!

So what's your take on this one?
Messi was part of the Argentine squad that composed a song against France and called them monkies
Re: Without Messi, Will You Still Support Argentina? by Laple0541(m): 8:14pm On Jul 12
Even with Messi I don’t support them.

I cannot support anyone from a racist country.

A country with no Black man, or black players and yet we have people worshipping them, more like Nigerian slaves who worship Messi

Capital no.
you make a very valid point, why i like messi is just that he knows how to play football

Reading these comments below, and knowing their very racist nature, without Messi will you still be cheering for Argentina?? cheesy
after Argentina won the Copa America, Enzo Fernandez and the rest of the Argentine players including Messi composed a song calling France a team filled with monkies.

Racism is a culture that is also common among black people, so can we quit with the pretence? undecided

With ot without Messi, I cant support Argentina.
Football: They dont play fair.
It is also one of the most racist country in the world..so racist they have refuge to Nazi soldiers fleeing Europe after 2nd world War 2. Several decades after, nothing has changed.

People that killed all their black slaves coz they don't want to have blacks like America, Mexico, Brazil

Go and read their history

Used to have a friend from there and she admitted that there is a lot of Racism in their country

Even with FIFA's first child we don't support them, how can we support Arhentina without him 😏

I always wonder how CR7 conned the world into comparing him with Messi. The big three are Pele, Maradona, and Messi. And Messi is the greatest of the three!
Ronaldo should.be compared with the likes of Alan Shearer, Inzaghi, Schevcheko.

Not Messi.

What nonsense.

Have you read the history of slaves in Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, and Egypt, too? They too did away with their black slaves but kept their white slaves alive to breed with. This practice literally took place across much of the Islamic world for over 1000 years. undecided

Funny thing is, Portugal used to be my favourite team before Ronaldo, I stopped supporting them because of CR7. Conversely, I disliked Argentina until Messi came, he’s the reason I support Argentina
We are exact same in this. I remember supporting Luis Figo in those days and detesting Ortega and Batistuta simply because of the country they came from. Fast forward to 2006 upward, my support for Messi began from Barcelona then to Argentina till date. Once Messi is out, bye bye.

Not even close to the most racist. Blacks are just as racist, only their form of racism, in their land is directed at people of the same skin color as them. undecided

However, what would you say of Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Libya... all African nations that despise the black people on the continent with them. They literally purged their nations of blacks for the longest. That is why those nations remain majority white to this day, despite using black people as slaves for over 1000 years. undecided

Why should I?

If Messi retires I might stop watching football entirely because I have seen it all

How can one person be either number one or top three in every category in football records.
He have created records that will take generations to break.

NOTE HE HAVE COMPLETE FOOTBALL CIRCLE

48 Trophies and still counting with uncountable individual awards

May God bless us

From the comments it seems they're ignorant rather than racist - they don't know what they're doing
The hypocrisy. Is Argentina more racist than Portugal, France, England or Spain? Countries who traded your ancestors as slaves for over 400 years. Show me one former colony of Argentina.

But has any other country ever officially instituted "Blancheamiento" (whitening) state policy as shown below?
Suppose SA whites had done same? They'd just deport those SA blacks to other African countries and import whites from all over the world and today SA will be all white. Also, from what I read, Argentinians seem proud of being racist, unlike most countries!

Re: Without Messi, Will You Still Support Argentina? by Saint99: 8:40pm On Jul 12
People are just calling Messi out because of his affiliation to Israel. It is his choice. You don't force people to dislike who you dislike. As a professional, he had tried his best to keep his interest in the low profile yet people won't leave him alone. Some days ago one Arab commentator stated that Messi was not showed the red card because of the system was controlled by the Jewish lobbies.

It's okay to like Messi as an individual player, but to support Argentina, an idiotic racist enclave, just makes no sense.

1.Why does Argentina have to do only what other countries before it have? undecided

2. For over 1000 years, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, and Egypt practiced something close to the Blancheamiento. They are openly racist against their fellow black Africans, and they are proud of it, too. Ishowspeedy was openly heckled and called a monkey in one of those countries. No one says much of it. undecided

In South Africa, black Africans are racist against their White African brothers as well. The same things happened in Zimbabwe. Many of the white Africans in those two nations had to flee the country... 1000s of them in just the last 2 decades alone. undecided

What is clear is that racism goes beyond just one color. Everyone or every group engages in it, and no one group can claim they are the only victims in this. undecided

But if Messi turns out to be coaching Argentina, then I go back to Argentina grin
