This is a DNS issue.
You can try Cloudfare DNS plus Google's DNS as backup. Been using this for months and it works fine

first, you need to make sure your starlink router is close to you, if the router is not close the speed will reduce.

You mean I should stay close to my router when I get home

The router is inside my bedroom and connected to a Tp-Link 3rd party router to supply network to other areas of the house

okay, that is fine too, if the tp link is a high frequency one you should get a decent speed.

They only care about tax and tariff increment cus how can anyone justify 1gbps plan at 200k on fibre ffs
Crazy, having abandoned starlink and using the 1gbps plan for months; i had to lower it too
cos u would get 8Gbps for almost the same amount in the states. Too expensive
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 6:45pm On Jul 14
First look at STARLINK V5 dish. Expect it to be cheaper but a downgrade to the current V4. You can find it on Starlink set-up page. Imminent launch

They no even talk 100k oo,even 100k is much but see where they go hang ball,200k is fucking crazy. I wouldn't mind paying for 1gbps if the price is slightly less than 100k.

Internet is even way cheaper in Europe. You can get 10Gbps unlimited fiber in a lot of countries is Europe for less than €30. In Spain and Portugal you get 10Gbps for €15. It's crazy how expensive internet is in Nigeria, a poor country at that.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Bossman(m): 12:18am On Jul 16
Very true. When one factors in the average earnings in Nigeria, internet cost is super expensive. Let's not even talk about how unreliable it is. The overwhelming majority of Nigerians get their internet via data plans from their mobile carriers. I feel the high cost is mainly due to the cost the carriers have to pay to provide the service, such as diesel, non-existing infrastructure, etc.

I was expecting something spectacular but they focus more on power efficiency make them just start doing them with battery that will be banger
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 4:06pm On Jul 16
Power efficiency plus reduction in cost of production.
The new hardware sits between the Mini and Standard hardware. Also, it comes with router mini

All these their new products release no concern me,make they shaa push their network to hit 1gbps or close to 1gigabit speed peak or maybe stable and steady 400mbps to 700mbps download and also better upload speed.

Tbh 1gbps speeds should be for businesses. As average consumers, we need cheaper plans more than 1gbps speeds.
You'd need a performance dish to even reach that speed.

Again for most household, 100Mbps speed is enough
