They suspended it because they are desperate, next year will be bloody if this evil party enter again

https://www.nairaland.com/8708550/fg-suspends-proposed-waec-neco

This is the second bill suspended because of election, that tax have been ignored but immediately they enter we will all suffer for it
Yeah, they suspended it most likely because of the election and will bring it back once they are done with re-election next year. Maybe the outcry that followed the announcement made them quickly back track on it .

That was how they increased LASU school fees from N25k to N250k that year under Fashola. People appealed to Fashola and even Tinubu but they insisted no going back for almost 2 years. Some indigent students lost their admission because they couldn't afford the fees , some parents enter gbese just pay year one and year two fees of their kids. When 2015 election was fast approaching and it was imminent that angry Lagosians were ready to vote for any opposition party to punish them, they reversed the school fees back to N25k.

It was after Ambode won the 2015 elections they now increased the school fees eventually but not up to the initial N250k people complained about. No be today dem dey play that card for APC ; dem don carry am go national level.

There's something I don't understand from the rescue operations of the Oyo kidnap victims and sketchy details provided by the government on it.

The military officer that was mentioned as deceased in the course of the rescue operations has his date of demise as 6th June 2026 , while the victims were officially rescued on 10th July 2026. There's like over a month gap between the officer's date of death and the eventual rescue of the victims.

Is it that there was a rescue attempt on 6th of June 2026 which failed resulting to the officer's death before another rescue operation was launched circa 10th July 2026?

It's possible because I read the kidnappers really Travel with the victims into the forest and in the north.

But then, anything goes in this country. It could be an attempt to put in the fallen soldier to milk the success of the extraction

Yeah, the most important thing is the safe release/rescue of the victims. At least they didn't end up like those Chibok girls that ended up being remembered by Hashtags and everybody moved on from.

I just feel his family and to an extent the members of the public at least deserve to know the real circumstance surrounding his death since the government is claiming it had to with the rescue operations. At least let them get their stories straight and let the timelines match

Anything can happen Sha....but dem supposed explain how the soldier who was among the rescue operation died 6th June while the victims were officially rescued on 10th July.

In fact, the guy was buried 10th July ; the same day the victims were officially rescued/released.

If they paid ransom after a failed rescue attempt a month earlier they should just say it. Nobody would blame them for doing the needful to bring the Victims home. We all want the victims back home without further loss of lives.

You asked if Tinubu knew about the fake agency, I don't like to say it but I sincerely thought you must be really dumb with due respect

1. Fake name
2. Fake parents
3. Fake childhood
4. Fake certificate
5. Fake bishop
6. Fake mandate

What is a fake agency compared to all these?
All these are just wailings from pained losers, Chicago State University said he graduated from their school, The electoral body said he won a mandate.

Next time tell your candidate to work harder. If he had delivered in Anambra state we might even give him a chance in Nigeria

There were obviously multiple rescue attempts made before one finally succeeded. Unfortunately the soldier died in one of the early failed attempts

Difference when we have a real govt in power. Under Jonathan for 2 weeks the FG even did not believe that students were kidnapped and some people were claiming Chibok kidnap was a scam

His family deserves to know which I believe they might have given them the details, I don't know why the Public deserves to beyond he died in active combat service

Very unnecessary. The key thing is the victims are home. Whether they drugged the kidnappers or used juju on them or prayers or bitcoin is of little relevance. No need to divulge that information.

Anyone interested in knowing every detail should ask the victims or join the rescue operation

So why is this so hard for them to say in plain terms instead of making it look like it was a made-up story at first glance? They made the whole thing subject to speculations.

So the kidnappers should be allowed to continue in their business of killing and making billions off ransom..Federal govt now is their customer also

No one can stp kidnappers who are detrmined to continue, Govt can only aply the laws to them and hopefully send them to hell

Will releasing the details make kidnappers stop their job

What did they make subject to speculations? The story of the dead soldier has been out for weeks. The story of the released students came out on Friday

But from all indications, these kidnappers were not sent to hell. They are probably out there looking for their next victim.

Its left to the political community to give the people better options. If its Atiku or Obi that are the options, then you can see why people will rather stick to APC and Tinubu

Nothing has suggested we gave real government in power. The rate of kidnappings and insecurity in general under this administration trumps any agenda dubbed as "we have a real government in power". A real government in power would curtail the various secuirty challenges happening all over the country. A real government in power would make it impossible for terrorists to be sacking entire communities in the southwest that were once peaceful long before APC took power. There's actually nothing to be celebratory about security under this administration starting from the Buhari regime.

If the family of the deceased officer are aware of circumstances under which he fell in battle, then no wahala. I just hope they are not as confused as general members of the public were when we read the news report about the rescue with the timelines not matching.

I wish his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Well, the government owes the citizens accountability. One does not need to join rescue operation to know about how the government got them home. We read about different governments how they rescue their citizens from terrorists all the time.

We were all here when we read about how the American pilot was rescued behind enemy lines in an active war. No big deal for any member of the public to be interested in what the military/government is doing to keep them safe.
