What nonsense?!

Why not send the kids home to go and have decent hair cut.

If any of the student brought this kind of weird and disgusting hair style to the school, will the school allow them entrance?

The parents should take actions against the school authority.
Go into Barracks to tell the military that it is so wrong. You think this is the type of school where parents go to bully teachers for disciplining their children? Go and try it inside barracks. This is Command Secondary School. Well, GenZ generation will not understand.

Millitary School.

That is a Command Secondary school.

You can clearly see a Soldier is the one with the hair clipper.

If they born you well go and complain or fight a staff in the school.

Both you as the parent and you the child will do frog jump together. grin grin grin

In addition all of you praying and asking for military government, here is an example of what you will be seeing on the streets. All those dreads, ear rings worn by guys, tattoos etc.

One small skinny Hausa soldier in khaki will kneel you down and cut your hair with broken bottle and you will only tell him thank you sir when he is done. grin

May God help us

Even if your father is the president.

As long as you're in that school you must comply.

I will not let my child take an haircut that doesnt conform with the school rules. But if peradventure out of oversight my child goes to school with an hairstyle that the school does not approve, the school will have to notify me and i will correct that immediately. However, if they want to be unfortunate and they take things into their hand to cut my child's hair they will see war. Physical, legal and even spiritual if need be. things like this are too sensitive
Re: A Secondary School Gave Students Weird Hairstyles (Photos) by makinkunmi(m): 12:23pm On Jul 14
First of all, I must say that I LIKE Command Day Secondary Schools. They are one of the best schools around and if a child truly imbibes their culture of discipline and excellence, you can imagine what becomes of such a child.
For those opposed to the particular style of military schools such as the one in the picture, please be reminded that they also hold PTA meetings where all these things are discussed. So, many parents already know the outcome of their own negligence from home. Hence, if you as a parent regularly attend the meetings, you would not bother challenge such an action. Soldiers are wonderful people (of course not all) and I dare to say that. If you are disciplined as a student, they will so much like and support you in every way possible within their means. Also, be reminded that the teachers that teach these children are civilians and sometimes it is these civilian teachers that call the attention of these soldiers to rough, dirty students. And you can always count on Soldiers 'to do the do'.
And just as some have said, if you do not want your ward to be touched, don't enroll your children there because if you do and then think you want to challenge their actions (that they already discussed at the PTAs), then be ready to be embarrassed, like seriously embarrassed. I mean you can be slapped and beaten with cane. At least I witnessed the slap incidence (twice or so) in my six years at the one in Odogbo, Ibadan. And I'm sure you wouldn't want to be on social media for such. 2 DIV hospital will be ready to admit you after you are locked up in ROOM 010 or 'GUARD-ROOM' for as many days as possible. I stand with Discipline and not brutality. This is not brutality but a correction that does not want such actions to be repeated.

shiwex:
I find it deeply concerning that a secondary school would discipline students by shaving an "X" shape into their hair. Such a practice can be humiliating and may have a negative impact on a child's self-esteem. While schools have a responsibility to enforce discipline and maintain standards, disciplinary measures should be reasonable, respectful, and focused on correcting behaviour rather than embarrassing students.
In my view, there are many more appropriate ways to address misconduct, such as counselling, detention, community service within the school, parental involvement, or other educational sanctions. Publicly marking students with unusual hairstyles risks causing unnecessary distress and ridicule from their peers.
Parents have a right to question the school's actions and seek clarification on the disciplinary policies that permitted such treatment. If they believe the school acted improperly or violated students' rights, they may wish to pursue the matter through formal complaints procedures and, where appropriate, obtain legal advice regarding their options.
Schools should aim to discipline students in a manner that preserves their dignity and promotes positive behavioural change, rather than using measures that could be perceived as degrading or humiliating. students do have legal rights, although schools also have authority to enforce discipline.
Some of the key rights that may be relevant are:

Right to dignity and respect – The Nigerian Constitution guarantees the right to the dignity of the human person, and the Child Rights Act also recognizes a child's right to dignity. Disciplinary measures that humiliate, degrade, or publicly shame students could potentially be challenged on this basis. [nigeriarights.gov.ng], [nigeriarights.gov.ng]

Protection from abuse and harmful treatment – The Child Rights Act seeks to protect children from physical and psychological abuse, exploitation, and other harmful practices. [nigeriarights.gov.ng], [awjai.org]

Right to education – Students have a right to receive education in a safe environment. Schools are expected to maintain discipline while respecting students' welfare and rights. [nigeriarights.gov.ng], [awjai.org]

Freedom from discrimination – Children are entitled to protection from discrimination and unfair treatment. [nigeriarights.gov.ng], [nigeriarights.gov.ng]

Regarding the specific issue of shaving an "X" into students' hair, whether it is illegal would depend on the circumstances, the school's rules, parental consent, and whether a court or regulatory body considers the action degrading or abusive. Merely being a military-style school does not automatically give it unlimited authority over students' appearance. [nigeriarights.gov.ng], [nigeriarights.gov.ng]
Parents who are concerned could:

Request an explanation from the school.
Review the school's disciplinary policy.
Submit a formal complaint to the school authorities.
Escalate the matter to the State Ministry of Education or relevant education board.
Seek independent legal advice if they believe their child's rights were violated.

From a personal perspective, many people would argue that marking a child with a distinctive hairstyle as punishment is unnecessarily humiliating and that more constructive disciplinary measures could achieve the same objective without causing embarrassment. Whether it amounts to a legal violation, however, would ultimately depend on the specific facts and applicable law.
So "y" shape would have been better?

But they'll cry racism when white people do the same thing to their children...🤦🤦🤦
You will never see white people doing this not because their standards are higher, but because they are comfortable with their natural hair. A white male student will have a very long hair and nobody gets bothered. Black people are doing this because they feel their natural hair is untidy and wearing your black natural hair to school becomes unacceptable. It shouldn't be compulsory to have a shaved head. The students rights are actually being violated because they have a right to grow their God given hair when it doesn't affect anyone's peace.

Black females also don't wear their natural hair and they choose wigs or weave their hairs.

This is all shades of wrong..

You can't use same clipper to be cutting different people's hair at the same time in the name of punishment.

You might be sharing infection..

The parent should take it up via the PTA.

This is wrong..
