HEADLINE: 2027 Verdict: Tinubu Set To Be One-Term President, Peter Obi Tipped To Win As Yoruba Era Ends Political watchers and stakeholders across Nigeria are already projecting 2027 as a turning point, with indications that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may end up as a one-term president and the last Yoruba president of Nigeria for now. The conversation has gained momentum following early mobilization and coalition talks ahead of the 2027 general elections. Many analysts believe the political momentum is shifting toward Mr. Peter Obi, the NDC Party flagbearer in 2027, who is widely seen as the leading opposition figure going into the next election. Sources close to political groups in the South East and Middle Belt say 2027 will be about equity and rotation, arguing that after 8 years of President Buhari from the North and 4 years of President Tinubu from the South West, it is the turn of the South East to produce the president. "Tinubu will go down in history as a one-term president," a senior political commentator said. "And with the way things are aligning, Peter Obi is positioned to win the 2027 presidential election based on nationwide support, youth mobilization, and the demand for a new political order." The development has also sparked discussions among Yoruba political leaders. In statements circulating this week, some Yoruba elders and groups said they are prepared to "bid farewell" to the Tinubu administration and accept that the Yoruba presidency cycle may have ended for this generation. "We served, we led, and now it is time for other regions to lead," one Yoruba leader stated. "Nigeria must move forward through fairness and rotation. We wish President Tinubu well as he completes his term." Supporters of Peter Obi say the 2027 election will be decided by the people’s vote and not by incumbency. They are calling on Nigerians to get their PVCs and protect their votes. As of press time, the APC and the Presidency have not responded to the projections. INEC has also reiterated its commitment to conducting free and credible elections in 2027. Political analysts say the next 18 months will be critical in determining whether this early projection becomes reality.

21lucky:Nothing like the turn of the South East. Ogbonnaya from the South East contested against Tinubu and lost. Obi from the South East contested against Tinubu and lost. Nobody asked you to be losing elections. |

Wickedfacts:Your tinubu used dollar and security operatives to rigged out Ogbonnaya during APC presidential primary. The same tinubu used inec chairman and security operatives to rigged out peter obi and till today both Nigerians and Peter Obi insist obi won the 2023 presidential election which tinubu and APC knows about. Hunger is making you sentimental and tribalistic towards south east, indeed it is the turn of south east to produce the next president of Nigeria in 2027. |

Bimpe29:In summary: tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election to Peter Obi and Peter Obi will become the president of Nigeria in 2027; an any attempt by tinubu, APC, Yorubas to sabotage 2027 igbo presidency will be resisted by igbos and if care is not taken might lead to second civil war. |

This is not a Yoruba issue. You are an agent provocateur. This is about removing rulers who fail to improving the living standards of majority of Nigerians. Regardless of who is there, such a person must be accountable and respectful to the Nigerian populace and do that which benefits majority of Nigerians, not just a few cronies. Whoever might replace bat would simply be a beneficiary of his failure and desire of Nigerians to access better governance and improved living standards. |
