I showed factually the bolded is wrong because out of 195 nations of the world only 15 to 24 have free and subsidised University education whereas the bolded in your post, to be accurate, would mean at least 100 of the world's nation provides free University education.

Why do you guys lie so much and then double down defending your lies instead of admitting you goofed? When they then say Nigerians are scammers you will begin to shout.

Why can't we replicate Germany.
Why not use the loan to give skills to millions of already graduates in the street without job while maintaining the fees you met it or even reduce it for those in schools.

Did you know that there was a period that $1= 65 kobo, at this rate and if the Naira still maintain that strength, it should be equivalent to N45= $65.23+, but today it is $1= N1379.70. Mathematically, that same N45= N95,517. 69. Therefore, it was the N45 of that period I was referring to, not now.

Some comments supporting APC above are so stupid as usual, nothing to be surprised.

We always rush to compare Nigeria to the USA as if we are on the same developmental level as them. Because the policy works there doesn't mean it will work here, different realities and dynamics.

If the government wanted to help the students, they could start by subsidizing tertiary education which is not going to be possible by them.

Alot of universities are not even issuing the NELFUND due to entanglement in funds misappropriation. students are still waiting on their allocations right now.

The increase in school fees also forced alot more students out of school. I used to have friends that could afford the school fees back then, due to the increments in fees and rents they dropped out. Some took the loans for personal expenses.

The economy is so bad, feeding and rentage for an average student is difficult and the above average ones are struggling to stay afloat. So much that students are going into fraud to stay afloat.
Its already so difficult for the Nigerian student, why are you now adding after school loans to the equation?

The government are more after generating revenues from the federal schools than student welfare thats why they increased school fees.
Federal schools now have to admit twice the number of students for an academic session. After collecting school fees and dues, these students are then dropped for not meeting a cut off point at the end of the session or dropped for reasons that the department is not able to accommodate their large numbers.

Everyone knows when naira was introduced it was higher than dollar and it was babangida structural adjustment programme SAP in 1986 that pushed the dollar above the naira. Even as at then, flight ticket was not N45
So you can't just take the current price of things to 1976 to convert and quote it as the figure

Imagine the outrageous lamba, same as Obi drops all the time, that most nations of the world provide free university education when it is actually only 15 to 24 nations out of 195 nations of the world.

Uni education is expensive globally if it is of high quality. I know because of how much I am paying to support my eldest kid who is in the final year of a degree course in the UK.

This is why Obi will never be President. There is a reason the most fundamentalist, unprogressive, hateful and radical Nigerians are behind him.

Now your presidential candidate Peter Obi increased tuition by over 200% with any relief or succour.

Tinubu increased tuition not even up to 100% and granted evry Nigeria that desire a loan access to it to ensure no one is left.

They are such terrible people. Imagine starting a thread asking how NELFUND is an achievement? A scheme that was initiated to ensure any Nigerian with the intellect has access to higher/university education regardless of financial status?

Someone who is not a student attacking NELFUND whereas Nigerian student across our Nation are hailing Tinubu over the initiative.

Nigerians are their own biggest enemies.Many are mainly bigoted haters. There is no factual or analytical logic to their argument at all.

Stakeholders, I.e students, are thanking Tinubu yet an Obidient is here trying to discredit the scheme merely because he wants his candidate to become President by any means possible.
