it is sad but true, Nigeria will never have another okocha Look at argentina, there was Alfredo Di Stéfano, Maradona and now Messi and the reason is simple, the early generation inspired the other generation, it is football lecacy here in Nigeria, we had Okocha, home grown and sent abroad, forward to 2026, we have not produce another Okocha because we dont invest in the youth since we dont invest in them, we have started looking out to Europeanised and americanised Nigerians who have no attachement to Nigeria or its culture to come play for us They bring their western style of football and then destroy our creative and stlyish football killing the OKOCHA in many kids that watch them Now everyone thinks football is all about speed and passing the ball all over the place or from one end to another instead of being creative, taking risk and banging awsome goals to entertain the crowd. |

Rabiu Ibrahim showed great promise, but I still don't know what happened to him. Perhaps age caught up with him ---you can't cheat nature. |

The truth is, Okocha was a once-in-a-generation talent. You can't replicate that pure street creativity and confidence in modern academy football. Modern football is too rigid, focused only on physical stats and tactical passing lines. While players like Osimhen are elite finishers, we definitely miss that pure entertainment factor that Jay-Jay brought to the pitch! 🦅⚽ |
