An amendment sponsored by United States Congressman Gregory Steube to withhold all US assistance to Nigeria until the country meets specific conditions to tackle violence has been adopted by the House of Representatives.https://punchng.com/us-house-votes-to-withhold-100-of-aid-to-nigeria-over-christian-persecution/?fbclid=IwZnRzaATFwndwZG9mA2ZkaWQWUKo4FDuk3--5-h7-nn40o1zAD3maf2V4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR5QkNyfvdn04AWOE-5HMkfptEGXmHQEiVS6cOpclFmwtvhitILpLHs1BIOPzQ_aem_RPG7OE1y_dTclYvGPPJARw

Nigerian Chrtistians should wake up.. That US is supporting you today doesn’t mean they will support you tomorrow if Democrats take over.. Play your politics well as election is around the corner, and open your eyes,.. Tinubu remains an Islamic terrorist enabler, and he’s a disgrace to humanity..

Tinubu gambled on the thinking that the US has eased up on the warning not to repeat the same faith ticket. He may be wrong. The muslim-muslim factor will pick momentum again heading into the campaigns. Unfortunately for him, Muslims are not as enthusiastic as they were about it in 2023 as Tinubu has showed his hands as being more of an ethnic champion. Here's the video. Very indicting statement from the U.S. Congressman in calling the Nigerian government a corrupt government.

In my view, the U.S. government is making a mistake by pursuing broad aid cuts. Such measures often place the greatest burden on ordinary citizens including the Nigeria Christians they're trying to fight for, who rely on essential services, while political leaders are far less likely to feel the immediate impact. A more targeted approach that holds those responsible accountable without harming vulnerable people would be more effective. |

My issue with these policies is that it's still same citizens and common man, including Christian citizens, that will suffer it, not the politicians and government officials. The government politicians that abet these killings really don't need these aid monies because they have other means of siphoning monies from sources other than US aids. I expected that the US would rather have come up with policies that will directly target these politicians and government officials who aid these killings including use of military force and actions. Suspending aid would not even move or affect the government one bit and to me, is a very very ineffective approach |

jogojogo:I thought you are wise, that's not the question you should ask... It would affect Nigeria greatly and more than the U.S. in the short and long term because many health, humanitarian, and development programs receive U.S. funding. it could also push Nigeria to strengthen domestic funding, improve efficiency, and reduce dependence on foreign aid, Ask yourself can Nigeria do this or are they ready to fill the gap? |
| Re: US Votes To Withhold 100% Of Aid To Nigeria Over Christian Persecution by Razzness(m): 9:27pm On Jul 16*. Modified: 9:50pm On Jul 16 |
Lol! This is really funny seriously. Am just laughing at all those people that politicized the death of innocent Christians to score cheap political points. They championed the agenda that Christians were the only victims in Nigeria thinking that when the US wanted to punish Nigeria it will affect only the part of the country they did not like. The first thing the US did was to ban Nigerians (as in Nigerians of all faith) from entering their country, they even shut down their embassy at some point. Now they are withholding all aid to Nigeria (as in, to Nigerians of all faith). The message is loud and clear, and it reads along these lines "DEAR NIGERIAN'S YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN" |
