This road reconstruction was not conceived by Tinubu administration They didn’t award the contract Tinubu government have not spend one kobo on this road yet taking credit This is an MTN road done with a tax credit Conceived and awarded by Buhari administration Don’t get why Tinubu wants credit |

flokii:You Tinubu's supporters from the SW are insufferable. Didn't you all sing Buhari’s praises until his last day in office only to start insulting him thereafter? Buhari awarded this road project in question via the MTN tax credit scheme. An initiative that Tinubu has now stopped. While Buhari was constructing the train to Niger, he was also constructing the second Niger bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Railway, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway ( a perfectly fine road which Tinubu just awarded a contract for its reconstruction) and several other projects. As far as verifiable and tangible projects go, Tinubu is still far behind Buhari even though he has since borrowed far more loans. |

| Re: Enugu-Onitsha Expressway – Before And After by voortrekker966: 6:09am On Jul 18 |
In truth Tinubu tried in road rehabilitation in the south east. Making a south easterner works minister was purposeful and Umahi is living up to it. That doesn't however mean the people are not hungry. |
| Re: Enugu-Onitsha Expressway – Before And After by dominique(mod): 6:47am On Jul 18 |
Was it not MTN that renovated this road? The government might have done finishing touches to the renovation but MTN conceived and started it.

mrvitalis:Because the project was completed during his tenure He could have stopped it for instance claiming you guys didn't vote for him Let me give you an example Gas pipeline is being constructed from Shagamu to Ibadan But because Shellgas has an interest in that corridor and since Seyi Makinde is their contractor they contracted him to terminate the contract. The problem is NIPCO has a 25 year licence to supply gas to the entire south west. They headed to the court Result: Project stalled due to politics |

mrvitalis:Enugu Onitsha federal road na MTN do am. MTN is so nice, so Tinubu government will not pay every naira spent. Listen oga, in 2022, the Federal Executive Council approved MTN Nigeria to take over the completion and rehabilitation of the expressway under the Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme (Executive Order 7). Under this scheme, companies finance eligible federal road projects and recover the cost through future tax credits. This is an order by fPMB, agreed to and monitored by the FG as a means of funding, just like other borrowings and means of funding projects. If FG via ministry and minister for works paused or canceled it, or didn't monitor and follow through, nothing will happen and the road will not be completed. It seems you've not seen politicians that came into power and started erasing and canceling everything their successor wanted to do or did. No worry, in fact, let's thank FIFA or Trump for the road, e no stop wetin you dread for January. |

| Re: Enugu-Onitsha Expressway – Before And After by chinchum(m): 7:29am On Jul 18 |
The Tax credit in road construction is simply govt not collecting the amount of tax MTN owes the govt directly, but asking them to pay it to the contractor. If a man owes me money and i ask he use that debt he owes me to pay directly a car dealer i just financed a car with, then it means the debtor bought my car?. what a weak logic from a comment above. |

Parachoko:Those who wail about terrible roads after eight years of APC’s Buhari are doing it because they want Remi Tinubu to put akara in their mouth to stop wailing about hunger in the absence of promised jobs for earning a living in dignity on the basis of 70k minimum wage. Are you one of those who got the 50 million jobs promised by the master strategist of balablu bulaba progreThief politics ![]() Any idea how we can repay the huge debt of Tinubu, if he fails to deliver on promises of jobs? APC is truly All Promises Cancelled. OkCornel:
