Back injuries are the worst with unpredictable recovery timelines! We all saw something coming, gutted it is his back. He is definitely going to be out for at least 5 months, depending on rehab.

Praying for a successful surgery for my guy! World best CB!

Let’s be clear, there was no time Saliba declined surgery. Keep in mind Arsenal had him navigate the bulk of the past season with this same back injury using painkillers. Why didn’t we elect for surgery instead of painkillers during the season? You know it would have cost us the league.

There is no way he was missing the WC, a chance to win it as a starting and integral player. France were essentially doing the same thing Arsenal did and we were aware. France was managing his back with painkillers. He dropped to the ground when he couldn’t anymore, his back had given up.

This is the same back injury he suffered in 2023. I broke down how he sustained this back injury back in 2023 from over usage until a similar situation happened in the UEL against Sporting I think. At the end of the day, we mismanaged his usage, the injury and its timing. I will not blame him for refusing to have surgery and miss the WC.

As a player they now have the upper hands, this is the same issue I have with saka who is already going the path of rashford.
They need to learn when to call it a day the other person I am looking with side eyes is rice but I am glad they won't feature much next season.
Infact I will be glad if they all take a season off

It’s not that easy for the players and that’s why we need the club protect them from themselves sometimes.

Remember what happened after he went down in 2023? We essentially lost the title because of his absence. The same thing happened to Les Bleus, he went down and they immediately hit rock bottom.

The issue is that we are rotating enough during the season to give these players some rest. Rice own is inevitable, he is the highest risk at this point.

People are criticising Michelle kang for poaching barca players but I love what she's doing.
We should be able to pay paraluego salary before someone else carry her, i also read she fancy us.
Moreover, her resale value will be huge because she's young

Resale value? Even when Aitanna Putellas Meidema or Shaw ( Game changers) are not earning that much for an inconsistent performer like Salma would be foolish when that amount would easily get better player like Buhl or Caceido...

do we even need such profiles again in our team?. I was surprised we went for Rogers, going for Ramsey is just the same kind of deal to me. We have Odegaard and Eze for the no.8 position which is where dem two florish. Plus we still have Nwaneri that we don't know their plans for. We can use that money to go out for Guimaraes especially considering that norgaard is not rated much by Arteta. We can have Merino, Zubimendi, MLS, and Guimaraes in the absence of Rice. Seeing how much that central and dm role played so much we really need a player that can maintain that standard whenever one of Zubimendi or Rice needs rest.

i share same thoughts about him. To me he's like a low budget Eze with potential. What ever they want us to believe he can do, Eze can do that too. We need to seek real profiles for the positions we are lacking, not packing players up and down.

I feel the same way about konsa that we are also romancing with. We have Mosquera and Ben white to fill in as cb, Timber will also be back and that will have us with a more than needed personels when saliba returns too. So why go for a 60m konsa when we can get a less value option who's young still and won't be just a quick fix. The pressure of winning a big project is off now a bit, so Arteta should trust his champions more and rotate often. White has been dealing with recurring injury. Timber is dealing with injury too. Mosquera is still learning and can't be depend on.
