They should help the Igbo exit this nation they are 99.99 % Christians and leave the rest Islamic Nigeria

Dalohad:
If Trump and the republican party really cares about Christians they should ensure that APC a party that foisted a Muslim-Muslim rulership on Nigerians (even though half of the country is Christian) is removed and never allow to ever run this country again..

Somehow some people have found a way to make this issue about the U.S. But did this whole thing started from the U.S. threat of aid withdrawal? Didn't Nigerian government granted them the perfect excuse with their clear bias for the Fulani militias?

Ok, let me put it this way: if senseless killings continue unabated in a core Muslim state like Kano or Zamfara, for example, wouldn't the victims be mostly Muslims, regardless of whether or not they're being killed for their faith? Would it then be wrong to say, in that context, that there's a Muslim genocide going on regardless of whether the killers are pagans or Muslims?

The fact that some persons can see white and call it black due to loyalty to their religion is deeply troubling. I'm beyond shocked that these group are always active on discussions like this to shut down anyone talking about Christian genocide, but often no where to be found when their brothers in arms struck again for the umpteenth time. Their absolute loyalty is to the conquest agenda of their religion, and not to Nigeria or fellow Nigerians.

Unfortunately my people are too sentimental to know when a policy is meant to destroy them.

Tinubu and all the politicians don't depend on the US AIDS to live and get by. It's you the poor person that needs those vaccines and AIDS but celebrate because you think you're fighting for God

After certain medications are off the shelf or too expensive for you to buy, you will come back to blame tinubu
You should be more worried that Tinubu's APC government is now being described as a corrupt government. That is not coming from ordinary Nigerians. It is a reputation this administration has earned for itself. Imagine how much credibility Nigeria has lost because of the actions of those in power.

Don't worry about ordinary Nigerians. We are already experiencing shege pro max under this government. The real question is, why would any government choose to enrich a privileged few instead of using our common wealth to improve the lives of millions of Nigerians?

Enough of the excuses. Nigerians deserve a government that serves the people, not one that keeps making life harder while those in power keep getting richer.

A new Nigeria is POssible.

The reason why preventable diseases has not wiped you guys off is because of the donations and aid from countries like the US.

If they decide to recuse themselves, you will be the worst hit.
The reason why preventable diseases is still ravaging them is because of the aid from countries like US, our forefathers didn't die from malaria because they knew the herbs and roots used in treating it, instead of improving and modernizing what we inherited like Chinese and Japanese and others we abandoned it and depend solely on aid

What should Tinubu do that's yet to be done?
Why didn't US Army stop the Christian genocide when they came?
To whose disadvantage if US stops aids to Nigeria
Aids or no aids, Tinubu has nothing to lose
Exactly what I was thinking, they should have helped Nigerian Army to destroy terrorists in this country but they couldn't.

and as usual, most of you Obi supporters are dumb. You believe that Obi will become the president from the ashes of Nigeria but let me break it to you, you're dreaming.

You don't like Obi more than I do, I enjoyed his investments in education when he was a governor and I believe in his vision for a better Nigeria but if it will require that we destroy Nigeria before he becomes president, let him go back to agulu.

Politicians caused insecurity but you want ordinary Nigerians to suffer for it. Do you know that this blanket punishment will affect even the people who didn't vote for this government including you? Have you priced the cost of basic vaccines recently?

Do you know what the cost of tuberculosis medicine is? So we should all die because you support Obi and because of the failure of the politicians.

People like you are the problem we have in this country. Extremism and willingness to destroy everything just so you can have what you want. That's the same thing you have in common with terrorists.

I can never be associated with such. Nigeria is bigger than Obi and Tinubu and Nigeria will continue to win

what do you even know...you think nigeria can fund all the happenings in the health and education sectors....thank USA. Most of those vaccines is given for almost free to poor nations all around the world.

Remember sometime around 2015 in IMO state when we were doing polio vaccination on kids, as a corper, we were temporarily engaged by the WHO in conjunction with the ministry of health, it was the WHO that paid us, not the federal government. The vaccine was provided by the WHO and not nigerian govt. Now who funds the WHO, its the USA.

Think of all terminal disease with vaccines, its being given freely or subsidized by the WHO or the USA. Nigerian govt cannot handle it alone, they dont even have the funds or resources to give those vaccine freely. So say a thank you to USA next time.

Guy, sit down and learn from your elders. Our forefather didnt have any cure for malaria. Do you know how many children died from malaria yearly in west africa alone before the white man came with cure. It was some older people that were resistant to the disease. The younger children were not resistant to the disease. Truth is our forebears had herbs for some diseases, but not the terminal ones. Back in the days, people die from diseases from mosquitoes in large numbers. Our forebears only were able to treat the symptoms and not the disease itself, reason why many people died. They just cure the symptoms without understanding the disease.

I don't think this is the best route because drugs and essentials will skyrocket because the terrorist government have a way of give families and friends the needed money and drugs. The USA should have forcefully established a security presence in Nigeria or supervise the disintegration of Nigeria.

You think folks like Malami needed those aids. SMH
Yes he did.
He more than did.
You think the aid is $10k?
It’s actually in hundreds of millions of dollars.

These men channel it to themselves through fictitious projects and then use the remaining to fund isllamic terrorism in other to keep the citizens too busy to come after them.

No, US aid isn't just paid to government or account of ministers and senators like you portray. It is sent via and for PEPFAR HIV/AIDS programs, malaria prevention and treatment, maternal and child health, humanitarian relief for conflict-affected populations in northeastern Nigeria.

The money is typically distributed in one or more of these ways:
- Direct implementation by U.S. agencies
Agencies such as USAID, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Department of State manage many programs themselves. They pay contractors, suppliers, and implementing partners to deliver services.
- Grants to implementing organizations
A large share goes to international organizations, U.N. agencies, NGOs, universities, and sometimes Nigerian civil society organizations. These organizations run projects such as HIV treatment, malaria control, food assistance, education, and governance programs.
- Limited funding to Nigerian government entities
Some assistance is provided to Nigerian ministries or government agencies for specific projects, training, equipment, or technical support. Such funding is usually governed by agreements and is subject to U.S. oversight, reporting, and auditing requirements.
- Humanitarian assistance
Emergency aid is often delivered through organizations like the U.N. or humanitarian NGOs directly to affected communities rather than through the Nigerian government.

In my view, the U.S. government is making a mistake by pursuing broad aid cuts. Such measures often place the greatest burden on ordinary citizens including the Nigeria Christians they're trying to fight for, who rely on essential services, while political leaders are far less likely to feel the immediate impact. A more targeted approach that holds those responsible accountable without harming vulnerable people would be more effective.
Let them withhold the aide. Tinubu has enough money from subsidy removal and tax increase

➜I thought you are wise, that's not the question you should ask... It would affect Nigeria greatly and more than the U.S. in the short and long term because many health, humanitarian, and development programs receive U.S. funding.
➜it could also push Nigeria to strengthen domestic funding, improve efficiency, and reduce dependence on foreign aid, Ask yourself can Nigeria do this or are they ready to fill the gap?
Nonsense! Why should American taxpayers be responsible for the welfare of Nigerians in Nigeria? No dime paid in taxes in America should go to take care of people in another country, including Nigeria. Nigerians have more than enough resources to source their own welfare system. I don't see Nigerians lining up to fund the resolution of homelessness in America anytime soon, so why should Americans be obligated to help Nigerians? undecided

2. Why should it do so when Nigerian's can make that decision for themselves if, in fact, that is what they want for themselves? 😒

My issue with these policies is that it's still same citizens and common man, including Christian citizens, that will suffer it, not the politicians and government officials. The government politicians that abet these killings really don't need these aid monies because they have other means of siphoning monies from sources other than US aids. I expected that the US would rather have come up with policies that will directly target these politicians and government officials who aid these killings including use of military force and actions. Suspending aid would not even move or affect the government one bit and to me, is a very very ineffective approach
Stop lying! 😒😒😒

Since as far back as the 1980s in Nigeria, the vast majority of those who have benefited the most from the many foreign funds, including UNICEF, USAID, and other emergency funds, have been those in Northern Nigeria, a majority of them non-Christians and non-traditionalists. If anything, the vast majority of southerners have gone most of their lives never receiving a single penny for free from their own government. Even the Oil windfall that was shared was mostly shared by those up North, and not in the South. undecided

And the bulk of that money went to making many of your politicians rich, the vast majority of whom never worked for a decent wage or produced even a single product most of their lives. 😒😒

We're basically saying the same thing. Or you just writing for writing sake?
My point isn't about the north vs south divide but that in the end, it's still same poor masses that will suffer it, and not the politicians (whether they be north or south).

We are not saying the same things. Most of those classified as common people in Nigeria rarely access any kobo of foreign aid that enters Nigeria every single year. So, saying the people will suffer is generally false. The suffering experienced by the vast majority stems from bad government and corruption, not from whether foreign aid comes in or not. undecided
