I hope you can see the Antichrist policies being pushed out on a daily basis in Nigeria.

Imagine a government trying to ban Bus preaching, and before we know it they will enter pulpit to ban more.. as we are aware, "give the devil a long spoon"... So I must ask as Christian, what do you really gain from this Muslim Muslim government?

You sell your fellow brothers and sisters because of political gain, and you also know and are aware that People who do such things just as Esau did, are already on the pathway to destruction.

So take a retrospective look again, and ask yourself, as I Christian, should I be supporting such a wicked government.

More Antichrist Policies will be rolled out in the coming days, and it will still affect both Christians and all...

Maybe the imaginary Pretribulation rapture is still Deceiving you

Shalom!

You have never been outside Nigeria before, I mean never been to sane cline if not you won't be creating a thread like this

What do you think will happen if other religions are also causing noise pollution in our streets, buses, our homes?

If the christians are so passionate about their religion, let them provide a free bus for people where they can be doing their preaching

But we already have other religions causing noise pollution and even security risks everywhere in Nigeria, so how do we resolve this issue?

Mrchippychappy:
Why Hasn't the Nigerian Government Banned Road-Blocking Prayers

Warning: Please no religious intolerance on this post. Respectfully share your opinions and suggestions on how this menace can be stopped

In many parts of Nigeria, particularly in urban centers like Lagos, Ilorin, and Abuja, Religious activities be it over spill from Christian activities or Jummah prayers frequently spill onto major roads, bringing traffic to a standstill. Worshippers spread prayer mats across carriageways, halting vehicles for extended periods. This raises a pressing question: Why does the Nigerian government tolerate a practice that other countries, including Muslim-majority nations, have actively restricted or banned for reasons of public order, traffic flow, and security?

Examples from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Other Nations

Gulf states enforce strict regulations to prevent such disruptions. In Kuwait, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has issued directives restricting prayer areas to maintain order. Mosques were instructed to close main indoor halls for daily prayers (using courtyards instead) and limit prayer durations particularly for noon and afternoon prayers.

While Saudi Arabia prioritizes organized worship within designated areas. Authorities urge worshippers to use allocated spaces in the Grand Mosque, avoiding entry/exit gates, pathways, emergency corridors, and vehicle lanes to prevent disruptions. Outdoor loudspeakers for prayers are banned during Ramadan (limited to adhan and iqama only), and mass prayers in public streets are generally prohibited under traffic safety and public order rules.

In India, several states and leaders have cracked down on "road namaz." Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warned against blocking roads for prayers, emphasizing that roads are for commuting, not spectacles, and calling for prayers in shifts at designated places. The Vishva Hindu Parishad has sought a nationwide ban, describing it as a "disturbance" rather than prayer. Indian courts and officials have reinforced that public roads cannot be blocked for religious activities.

These examples show that even in Muslim-majority contexts, governments balance religious practice with civic responsibilities by directing prayers to mosques or designated zones and penalizing obstructions.

The Situation in Nigeria: Traffic Chaos and Security Risks

In Nigeria, Similar appeals have come from judicial figures and clerics warning that blocking roads endangers lives and contradicts Islamic emphasis on order. Traffic disruptions are routine. Major roads in port areas like Apapa, Lagos, or cities like Ilorin grind to a halt weekly, affecting commuters, traders, and the economy.

Security risks are significant: Crowds in the middle of roads create vulnerabilities to attacks or accidents. Emergency services are impeded , ambulances have been forced to park on the side while waiting for prayers to end, as police and drivers dare not force their way through the congregation. This isn't hypothetical; such scenes occur regularly, potentially costing lives in medical emergencies.

Nigeria's diverse, multi-religious society demands equitable enforcement of traffic and public order laws. Allowing one group's practices to paralyze infrastructure undermines the rule of law and fuels resentment. Mosques should accommodate worshippers or stagger times, as seen elsewhere and the same should apply to Churches as well!

The government must act decisively, enforcing existing laws, designating prayer zones, and ensuring roads remain open. Public safety and mobility should not be secondary to any religious observance. Nigeria deserves a balanced approach that respects faith while prioritizing the common good, just as progressive policies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, and parts of Nigeria itself demonstrate.

Tell us which other religions are preaching inside the buses

The bill originated from the House of Reps where it was successfully passed before heading to the Senate where it is under deliberation.

Where were your representatives when this bill was being debated and later passed by the House?

And for your information, this bill is even watered down version of what you have in Israel that criminalises Christian proselyzation and bans the circulation of the New Testament and Christian religious tracts.

Leave him, let him not ask proper questions or use his God given sense.

I am pretty sure when his toilet gets blocked or mosquitos bite him, he blames Muslim-Muslim ticket for his travails.

Be sincere, which one are you most affected with? Those blocking the road to pray only on Fridays or the pastors who disturb our peace with noise daily?

So the pastor making noise is more of a threat compared to the person or rather people who, during their prayer can block the road and restricts the movement of ambulance, firefighters and police vans? What happened to critical thinking in Nigeria?

These three reasons are the EXACT reasons why Kuwait and Saudi arabia banned the practice of praying in public spaces and even made blocking the road a criminal offense.

What really happened to critical thinking in Nigeria? This is not even a question about right or wrong but more about engaging with our God given brains. Have we sacrificed critical thinking on behalf of religious and political affiliations?

Your question really leaves me flabbergasted.
