Tchouaméni has been very disappointing for me. He looks slow both mentally and physically, and I honestly don't understand why Real Madrid extended his contract.

Exactly why I don't feel that bad about CR7 not winning a World Cup. He was not fortunate enough to be born in one of the 7 great football nations. Uruguay's WC wins happened in 1930 and 1950, an era of only 6-8 countries competing for the WC, so they don't count as much. Post-1960s, only these 7 top Nations have won the World Cup, so expecting CR7 to win with a Portugal side that had never won an international trophy before his era was always going to be a big ask.

CR7 winning Portugal’s first Euro, 2 Nations League titles for Portugal, is good enough for his International record. He is still the GOAT. Maybe he could have won a WC too with better luck, but damn, to win a WC is very hard as a non-favorite, na why only 7 countries don dey rotate am for over 70 years.

CR7 played in 6 different World Cups tournaments and scored 11 goals for Portugal while Erling Halaand played in 1 World Cup tournament for Norway which is even less a footballing nation than Portugal and scored 7 goals. But yes continue making excuses for the failure of CR7 when it comes to World Cups.
