Honestly I can understand with not only the DSS but to the family of the slain teachers and all of us Nigerians. Why would the judge hand them the judgement of life imprisonment? So that other deluded terrorists will also stage more Oriire kidnappings and beheadings to try to swt them free? Or what was going through the.mind of Justice Nwite? This is why criminals have the boldness to do whatever they want because they know that after all they will be pampered by the state. Our legal system in Nigeria is so weak and highly fraudulent. It is supposed to be the hope of the injured but unfortunately the masses are their ransom. A judgement of this nature points partly to the fact that the same judge might be afraid of the terrorists, hence, handing a flimsy judgement having known at least if not by empathy, by mere human feeling what lifetime pains the families of the beheaded teachers will bear for life even if he did not think of the horror faced by innocent tiny souls who may not recover from the experience in a lifetime.
