That Gbajabiamila was the one that petitioned DSS and IGP doesn't exonerate him. What if those petitions were only done when he realised that the scam had cast (of course, with two different Ministries raising concern)? Coul his action (petition) not have been a quick alibi he pulled to extricate himself of any link, since eyebrows were already being raised?

Where you aware of this case in October 2025, neither Gbaja nor Bayo did not give any press conference in 2025 about Adeyemi nor the PFIPC.
Find any source online or in print dated October 2025 about Adeyemi arrested by the Police to prove me wrong.
No press conference, no journalist involved, charged to court for such grevious charges and bailed all under the radar in this same Nigeria where ElRufai cannot make bail meanwhile Adeyemi convened foreign ambassadors, I don't even know whose offence is greater anymore.
Anyway back to the topic, Gbaja is only telling you in June 2026 that he had arrested one certain Adeyemi in 2025 and charged him to court.
Gbaja is not telling us the whole truth because he knew about Adeyemi in 2025 and failed to inform the public, kicked Adeyemi out and inserted the 1.3 Billion PFIPC budget which was signed in March 2026.
If Gbaja is not guilty, his statements already indict him,
A. Gbaja was the only one in Nigeria who knew about Adeyemi and PFIPC in October 2025.
B. Adeyemi already revealed from his press conference that after his bail in 2025 after 18 days in detention, that office in the Federal Secretariat was taken over by someone else.
C. PFIPC under Adeyemi ended in October 2025, but still continued to exist under Gbaja - the only person who knew of the existence of PFIPC in the whole Nigeria.
D. Gbaja inserted PFIPC into the budget because only he could get it done and only Gbaja, the alleged Tanimola and Adeyemi knew about PFIPC as far as 2025.
E. Gbaja failed to inform us since 2025 about Adeyemi and PFIPC, same Gbaja watched silently as Adeyemi PFIPC was inserted into the budget with 1.3 billion in March 2026, Gbaja watched and said nothing.
Which whistleblowing did Gbaja really do?
Gbaja only started singing after Adeyemi pointed us PFIPC in the 2026 budget.

Even the name of the judge handling Adeyemi case was only publicly known in 2026 July, the first arraignment and bail was done under the radar to not attract attention, even the terms of Adeyemi's now revoked bail is unknown to Nigerians because giving Adeyemi's charges, no court is supposed to even consider granting him bail even for his own security.
For Adeyemi to be arrested for 18 days and charged to court and bailed all under the radar shows the presence of a very powerful force in the Presidency.
