All this abnormalities can be controlled and put a stop to it... Establishment of textiles industries where manufacturing of these uniforms for the military and paramilitary department can be controlled and monitored. Good and better salaries payments including other welfares package for the personnel so as to avoid being compromised and easily buy by the criminal enterprise. Heavy punishment and death penalty for any personnel involved in conspiracy, aiding and abatting crimes. Dismissal should never an option to any personnel that commit any great offence. Such personnel used the skills and experience gotten to fight against the system back. All these kidnapping, Banditry, terrorism are organised crime by aggrieved personnel, politicians and greedy officials. This is just an opinion |

geoworldedu:Another one that does not understand English. This one can't even reason properly. It's simple greed. Back in the 1980s I heard rumours about policemen who rented guns and/or walkie-talkies to criminals. I didn't see any evidence of this but the rumours were persistent. In the 2000s a colonel was convicted for selling weapons from the armoury in Kaduna to Niger Delta militants. He was not from the Niger Delta and he was motivated by greed (Niger Delta militants sold crude oil to Europeans (especially Russians) and they got a lot of money and arms. The authorities realised that the Niger Delta militants that they were facing were using Nigerian Army weapons and an investigation was carried out and it was discovered that a colonel was looting weapons from Nigerian Army amoury in Kaduna and selling them to militants. Here's one of the stories (this is a different but related story. The colonel that I was referring to was convicted during the Obasanjo era). Mynd44:A large number of the members Nigerian armed forces both rank and file let's say 70% their allegiance is never to Nigeria, their allegiance is to Boko.H, ISAP and co. That's why they can easily and readily betray Nigeria at the drop of a hat. The sacred oath they have sworn means absolutely nothing to them. They will tear it to pieces of they have the chance. |
