Kuginzi:Stupid question. Like asking who will visit rapists , murderers, and kidnappers like xyz visited protesters or activists. Who are the bandits,? Who or which group are they fighting for? What is their legitimate claim? How do their activities justify any reasonable claim to collective oppression? In a sane world Gumi should be under thorough investigation , if not in custody for acting as a self appointed apologist and spokesman for terrorists a.k.a "bandits" |

Madding crowd statement. Failures in others, and predecessors are not expected to be followed by any sane person. Nb. But for insane man lk GUMI, failures of predecessors are attractions lk the North has always been. No S/Westerners would be insane to so do...... |

This is the kind of comment that is emboldened the Islamic jihadists and bandits. Until when northerners are ready for peace, the insecurities in the north which has been spread to the south may continue. What did Nigeria owe these criminals that government should dialogue with them to give amnesty and rehabilitate them like Niger Delta militants who have legitimate reason for raising arms against Nigeria. If Gummi really love Nigeria he should rather talk to his brothers to stop attacking innocent Nigerians and allow peace to reign. |

Kuginzi:Gumi is not serious, how can he be comparing the ND militants with good-for-nothing BH and bandits? The agitations of the former were genuine because they fought for marginalization while the cause the later's useless activity is not known |

Abdulhakeem7:Exactly! The ND militants are doing so well with the scholarships given to them under the amnesty program. They're not fighting anyone again. What have we achieved with the rehabilitation program for "repentant" BH? We just see new groups/breakaway factions with various ideologies all the time. Their basic mission is territorial expansion and oppression. There's no way to negotiate that. |

Gumi, should just be under lock 🔒,for being part of the problems of the Terrorists in the North! •Can he tell NIGERIANS in All honesty that,as a Former Negotiator: -What has been his Achievements With these Terrorists ⁉️, -How Much ha he Collected and how much has he Accounted For? - Since he Claimed he Knows the Terrorists Bandits and Kidnappers,he should tell us •Where they are and their there Locations, •Who Own What and Why Are these Killers being Pampered? •Why Are the Fulani-herdsmen the Only Tribe being allowed to be Carrying Dangerous Weapons,Ak- 47, and Violently Occupying Others Nigerian territory - Under the Camouflage that they are Cow -Rearers. Nigrians Don't Need Any Cow to exist and live In Peace. |

If this terrorist sympathizer were from the South --especially if he were Igbo, the federal government would have arrested him a long time ago. |

Kuginzi:Why is this demon walking around freely in this country? How many civilians did the Niger-Delta militants kidnap or kill? I've worked in the creeks for years, you will see real pure abject poverty staring in the face and you'll also see the wealth of Nigeria follow through those communities through pipelines, their water is polluted, so there's no way for them to make a living. Now these demons called Boko Haram and bandits, what is the reason behind the continuous kidnap, rape and killing of innocent people? Their raiding and wiping out of villages/communities? This man should be behind bars. |

flokii:It is quite ironic that you of all people are saying if we are to be honest with ourselves. What is stopping the president from mandating intelligence agencies to invite this man for questioning? Since we want to be honest with ourselves why not talk about this one. |

Even though many will disagree with him, it's better to read his words in detail than just the headline. It should be noted that love has won more wars than force through out history. When Kwankwaso came out and suggested that his leadership with Obi would, many criticised him. The said terrorists are humans too. Some of them knows their error but don't know how to come out of it and are willing to make wrongs right if properly guided. Remember how Jonathan handled Niger Delta case as he stated with wisdom and today militancy in the region is not commonly heard. Sometimes, the best way to get rid of dirty waters is to purify them instead of flushing down the drain. |

Nobellight77:You are so wrong on many fronts. And I will point your errors out in the subsequent paragraphs. 1. It was easier for FG to negotiate with the Niger Deltan activists because they had clear demands, which was for government to provide them with financial empowerment because the resources that their area was and is providing to the nation. Bandits do not have any requests while Boko Haram members are demanding for sharia government, which is not possible in multi-religious country. 2. The Niger Deltan guys did not go about kidnapping and killing all over Nigeria. They restricted their activities to their region just to cripple oil extraction from their region thereby rendering the country's economy to comatose. 3. Contrarily, Boko Haram and bandits have killed and maimed innocent people severally. They have committed several murders, and if Nigeria were to be a serious country many would have been handed the death sentence, considering the constitution prescribes death penalty for those who commit murder. 4. Lastly, what have these idiots done with amnesty given to them in the past. Rather than repent of their folly, they continue to engage in the killing of others after sometime. Finally, those !diots deserve no further engagement, rather they deserve death after their speedy judicial trials based on the country's constitution. |

So the Niger delta was supposed to be left polluted while the money from there is being used to build a farm in Ota abi? Shebi SW get lithium, why not start fighting for amnesty there let's see if they'll grant it? Some of you tribalists talk as if you don't know the importance of the Niger delta in the geographical expression called Nigeria from Pre-independence to the Biafra war till today, the blood of Nigeria is the Niger delta. If pipelines start burst even dis minute, FG go give Niger delta brand new amnesty before Monday morning without taking any loan. Wear pant make pant no dey wear you. flokii: |

Boko Haram and bandits are fighting for a country, possibly, Nigeria, to be governed with Sharia criminal justice system, they share the same objective with Gumi. Niger delta militants were fighting to get more shares from the crude oil in their domain. Why would any reasonable person negotiate with terrorists Boko Haram and bandits? |

Despite securing a valid Hajj visa, Gumi was intercepted by Saudi immigration officials at the Medina airport and immediately flown back to Nigeria. Prior Terrorism-Related Flagging of Gumi: Saudi security systems already maintained a high-alert profile on Gumi. Back in 2010, Gumi was arrested and detained for six months in Saudi Arabia at the request of U.S. intelligence after exchanging emails with Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the infamous Nigerian "underwear bomber" The Intercepted Email CorrespondenceOn Christmas Day in 2009, 23-year-old Abdulmutallab attempted to detonate plastic explosives hidden in his underwear aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253 en route to Detroit. Following his arrest, U.S. intelligence agencies audited Abdulmutallab’s digital devices and communications. They discovered that Abdulmutallab had been actively conversing and exchanging emails with Sheikh Gumi right up until the failed bombing. Gumi's 2010 Arrest in Saudi Arabia: The U.S. government shared this digital intelligence with Saudi authorities. Consequently, in February 2010, Saudi security agents arrested Sheikh Gumi in Mecca. Gumi was placed under house arrest and detained for over six months while Saudi and international counter-terrorism agencies investigated his ties to the bomber. He was only released and sent back to Nigeria after heavy diplomatic intervention by the Nigerian government What evidence does the world need again. He should go to Burkinafaso and try this nonsense and see if he will not be sent to prison. |
