And who told you she's praising Lagos.

Can't you read and understand, before bringing your tribalism into this thread ?
This time, read slowly and think deep before making an option.

Read beyond the lines, then you will get the message.

Same way you find intelligent people like ngozi iweala and animals like buhari and Gumi....same paradox of Nigeria..two extremes in the same country. Thecvery best and the absolute fecal matter .

A German entrepreneur coach who moved from Germany to Lagos has gone viral after sharing her candid and humorous reaction to life in Nigeria's commercial capital.

In a video posted on social media, the woman said Lagos has "broken" her German brain because of the city's striking contrasts, which she finds difficult to understand.

According to her, she is often surprised to see chickens roaming freely alongside cows and goats, giving parts of the city the feel of a small village. Yet, she said the same city is home to massive bridges, brightly lit streets at night, and vibrant nightlife featuring upscale clubs with swimming pools.

She described Lagos as a place that somehow feels like "the smallest village" she has ever visited while also feeling like "the biggest city" she has ever experienced.

The woman said the unique mix of traditional and modern lifestyles has left her fascinated and confused at the same time, adding that she still cannot fully make sense of the city.

Lagos is a slum. Once you have that in mind, you should not be surprised.
but you would rather die in Lagos than go to your village that is not a slum grin

This should not be coming from someone like you who has not travelled out of Nigeria before.
coming from someone who doesn’t see any need for change. A product of chaotic and abnormal society

Even if I have not been out of Nigeria, I have a phone to see what’s happening in other countries
Nigeria is so backward kiss the truth

And you deliberately chose to ignore the part where she said it is a mega city with nice pools, nice clubs and its like the biggest city she had ever been to. Because that doesn't fit the narrative in mind.

Thank you for your attention to this matter
What percentage of Lagos is like this, compared with the waterless glorified ghetto of the slimy slum parts huh

1%
Or just less than 5% like the percentage of public schools in the state after 27 years of a-looter propaganda progressives in power for 100 times growth in the state budget?

Have you heard of Stockholm Syndrome before?
You can start your free education on it from the thread below.

Lagos, 3 other African cities rank among world’s least liveable in 2026

July 15, 2026

Four African cities have been ranked among the world’s 10 least liveable urban centres in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Global Liveability Index 2026, reflecting the continued impact of insecurity, pressure on public services, infrastructure gaps and governance challenges.

The annual index assessed 173 cities across five indicators: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. Each city received a score out of 100 based on how well it performs across these areas.

This year’s rankings placed Harare (Zimbabwe), Lagos (Nigeria), Algiers (Algeria) and Tripoli (Libya) in the global bottom 10, alongside cities affected by conflict, economic challenges and weak infrastructure.

A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.

The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.

“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.

She is enjoying the vibes here in Lagos State, Nigeria. I will advise her to explore other state like Oyo, PH, Enugu, Kano, Akw Ibom and FCT

Not only Lagos
Nigeria as a whole has this weird societal system and it’s really shameful
The developing nation tag is now becoming embarrassing given the kind of intellectual people we have .

Even other African countries now do better, for example modern parks, clean environment, less pollution, efficient government response, quality education, democracy,
Nigeria need a systemic change
They will not hear this one. This next thing they will do is to come and start bleating about tribalism when they are the biggest tribalists and racists themselves.

Everybody is Igbo who speaks against Yoruba and not the reversal.

The other day,a rogue police officer said that he would have detained a motorist if he had been an Igbo.

Why are you all obsessed with Igbo people?

Black Africans are always seeking validation from white people! Disgusting and shameless attitude! Lagos has her charms but has not been well governed since Fashola's time!

Fashola was a class act and was not anti Igbo at all.............yet Igbos respected him, and his strict rules...........this present govt is filled with MC Oluomo clones..............oya drive away ndigbo na, as if other investors will not TAKE NOTE!

Someone said Lagos is a slum, so how does that sounds like a tribalism to you ?

I don't get it!
Will he say the same thing about where he comes from? Calling it a slum or don't you know the meaning of such word? Lagos a slum indeed. Why don't you also let him defend himself or are you a fellow tribalist?
