Spy360:You think so? Well, I do suspect there's something under the radar about these deals. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by StarchAndBanga: 1:32pm On Jul 26 |
Spy360:Loss as how? Garnacho was bought for £40M and loaned out with an obligation to buy for same £40M Think of it this way, Garnacho + 70M for Morgan Rogers which is not too bad a deal IMO |

so garnacho 40m is free? mostob: |

StarchAndBanga:Are you saying that Rogers is worth 120m or what? Garnacho on loan means that that 40m will not enter the books until next summer. Thast a set back on their book balance. If Rogers is not worth 120m, then losing Garnacho is also a set back. Don't assume that letting a player go is a benefit, it's always an opportunity cost to the club. That's why a fee is paid. Rogers real value is around that 70m. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 9:06pm On Jul 26 |
mostob:There is actually. It's to balance the books. Villa already are in violation of FFP rules and so would need that heavy inflow to make up. They are the main beneficiary. Perhaps Chelsea will hope for a turn from Villa next season. One good thing for me is that Chelsea is financially tied and won't interfere in any other big transfer move. If Vinicius for example is available, they cannot hijack it. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 9:07pm On Jul 26 |
mostob:Villa is actually pocketing the whole 117m. The Garnacho deal is a loan deal with obligation to buy not this season but next one |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by StarchAndBanga: 9:35pm On Jul 26 |
Spy360:Where in my post did u see Rogers is worth 120M? Transfer market is inflated these days. Just last season u guys forked out 50 abi 55M to sign Noni Madueke who was rvbbish at Chelsea. My point was, getting Villa to agree 40M for Garnacho while Rogers moves to Chelsea makes it look as if we swapped Garnacho + 70M for Rogers. If u look at it this way the deal is not too bad in my opinion cos Garnacho is a shiit player that was surplus to requirements |

Spy360:You absolutely nailed it. I was about reminding everyone that since the Garnacho move is a loan with a conditional obligation (conditions both clubs are keeping secret), it doesn’t go into Chelsea’s books until next season. Chelsea have for a while been cooking their books and it is only a matter of time before it blows up exponentially. Great insight and perspective Nwanne. |

StarchAndBanga:You're simply trying to console yourself Since you accept that Rogers is not worth 120m so what's the point of your argument? You wrote Garnacho + 70m and focus on the numbers and appease your heart. 😂 It is not Garnacho + 70m. It is 117m paid to Aston Villa. If you want to factor Garnacho, are you saying that Garnacho is worth -40m? As in minus 40m? 😂 Villa carry you guys handicap 😂 As it stands, Rogers will be the best player you will buy this summer. As for Madueke, he is a PL winner 🏆 😂 50m well spent considering the inflated market today |

iamoyindamola:Why is it so hard for us to Sell this Nelson guy? Even if it's to reduce his price, abeg make dem sell the guy to free space for other decent prospects to join us since it is quite obvious he is not in the manageer's plan either now or in the future. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 4:00pm On Jul 27 |
BlueRayDick:We should just release him or offer him to lower clubs at any price same with viera |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 4:15pm On Jul 27 |
iamoyindamola:Exactly! Let's cut our loss in Viera by selling him at a reduced price to either teams in Portugal or Spain. And Nelson should be offered to any mid table or newly promoted EPL team at a reduced pice make space dey for this team jàre. If they leave, even if we don't sign some big players to replace them we can promote some decent academy boys to replace them as squad players. We never know if we are stunting the growth of the next best stars of the team.by continuing to register Nelson and Viera as squad players every year. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 9:23pm On Jul 27 |
iamoyindamola:Honestly, I won't mind trashing them for us to allow youngsters from the academy some chance. At least the youngsters won't cost us much in terms of salary. |

The likes of Manchester City are willing to pay way beyond Arsenal in wages for academy players. That outlay does NOT count towards the Premier League’s financial rules, so clubs can, to a degree, throw what they want at these youngsters. Mail Sport understands Mishel Nduka’s (16) deal at Manchester City includes a salary of £20k-a-week, which puts him on around £1m-a-year. Jeremy Monga (17), meanwhile, is understood to be on a much more lucrative wage. Arsenal’s stance is that they are unwilling to pay salaries they believe are disproportionate for players yet to play senior top-flight football. Their focus is on development, building a genuine career pathway & potential re-sale value. ❌💰 [@IsaanKhan_] |

BlueRayDick:The best situation for the player is to leave for free so that he can get a decent deal. The best situation for the club is to sell, but as no I e wants to buy, send him on loan with an obligation to buy after a certain conditions are met by the player |
