This man Dr. Sharof actually studied In Saudi Arabia. In fact, he had a PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence as far back as 2004.

The truth is the common man will view whatever this man is saying as the truth considering he is more knowledgeable and even studied the religion in Arabic Language from first degree to PhD level.

I always see his social media. He has plenty followers who always argue with anybody that counter the man's postion.

They always point at his higher Education is Sharia law and claim he is giving the true and correct interpretation of Islamic rulings on the topics he discusses.

I think I even see a video of him going to Saudi recently where they gave him an award.

Spy360, for the umpteenth time OBI should stop granting interviews with Seun. I first thought it was a lie until I watched the video. He was cutting grasses in Anambra for 8 years instead of building schools.

If you tell APC people to verify it will sound like you're calling them illiterates.

Freedom of speech is your right to air your opinions, your ideas, and information without fear of government censorship or legal sanction.

Freedom of speech is not freedom for you to constitute public nonsense and disturbing others with noise. (I said noise because noise is any unwanted and disruptive sound that interferes with peace)

States like Lagos state have environmental laws that protects citizens against noise pollution. Churches and mosques have been locked because their speakers are too loud and they constitute nuisance in residential areas.

This particular law banning preaching in buses and public places is a step in the right direction. I don't need to have a headache because I boarded a bus that has a preacher who would preach for a whole one hour while the journey lasts.

CAN are just being political with their stand against the ban. They should be supporting the ban sef because even some unscrupulous preachers use the whole bus preaching stuff to beg for money sef, making it seem like salvation is for sale.

I decided to make a contribution to this topic

Now I have no issues banning preaching in buses. I hope the buses in question are government owned? Otherwise it becomes an infringement in the right of the owner of the bus.

Again the complaints about churches using loud speakers is genuine. But I also hope those complaining are also factoring the Muslim call to prayer that wakes one up before one wishes to wake up.

So unless there is a balance in this things, it will only call for a religious crisis which is exactly what this government is asking for right now given their failed policies

Both should be banned. Let the mosques use their voice to call for prayer..... Or better still, let individual set his own Alarm....

Is it the owner of the bus that is preaching or a random preacher who is disturbing every other passenger?

The truth is a public bus is a public bus. Everyone in the bus has a right to enjoy decorum and peace while their journey lasts. It is unfair to subject everyone to preaching which majority of the passenger may not be interested in. You will have Agnostics, Atheists, Muslims, Traditional worshippers and other people who are not necessarily Christian in the bus.

If you are genuinely concerned about possible religious crisis, then you will agree that the best approach to maintain peace is to ban all forms of religious preaching in public places. Religion is a private matter, and everyone is free to practice whatever they choose in their own corner without unnecessarily disturbing others with their religious activities.

That is why I am also against Muslims who block roads in the name of Jumat prayers on Fridays.
